RE: The Candidacy of Donald Trump
I'll never understand why the people of Arizona keep electing this guy. He's everything that is wrong with politics yet year after year they send him back to Washington.

The herd loves the familiar.

As for the manual workers, they will be discouraged from serious thought.....As soon as working hours are over, amusements will be provided.....to prevent any thoughts of discontent which otherwise might cloud their happiness.

Yes and they are probably convinced that he can bring home more pork because of his seniority.

RE: The Candidacy of Donald Trump
He is a psycho. He wins because people know his name and he's "pretty good". That's why they changed the Constitution and added the 17th ammendment. They didn't want the states picking the senators anymore because now people think they have a choice and nobody gets voted out whereas before the state legislature could tell him what to do and if he didn't they could pull the at anytime. They no longer represent the states. They represent the "nation" . It's all gone to hell.

The media still are trying hard as they can to discount Trump. They just can't believe people weren't offended at the true things he says. They keep saying he needs to get out so the "real" campaign can move forward.

RE: The Candidacy of Donald Trump
he will probably be used to split the vote.

Quote:If Trump were to receive the GOP nomination, 62 percent of Americans say they definitely would not consider voting for him. In contrast, just over 4 in 10 say they would definitely not consider voting for Clinton, Bush or Sanders.

Trump, however, could become a factor if he were to leave the GOP race and run for president as an independent. The survey shows that in a hypothetical three-way race, Clinton is at 46 percent, Bush is at 30 percent and Trump is at 20 percent among registered voters.

Trump takes more support away from Bush than Clinton in such a contest. In a head-to-head matchup, Clinton tops Bush by 50 percent to 44 percent among registered voters.

It's just Trump vs. Whores, all the whores are the same.

Hillary could be argued as worse than the others, but there's also some value in her being so offensive to decent people. She could cause more backlash by moving too quick, and even sow dissent among government agents, I think.

Fucking American politics! LOL!

People aren't even using the 'can't be worse than the last one' line anymore. It's admitted they're all horrible scumbags, so whatever.

Let's go for the comic relief!

A year from now it will matter but right now it doesn't matter.

RE: The Candidacy of Donald Trump
I think it does matter because, again, up until now the media has rather successfully controlled the immigration narrative speaking of it like an unstoppable force of nature, nothing but an inevitably. Trump has actually made different views part of the mainstream discourse. Despite all the warts of the American public, ultimately the power is in the hands of the people, who can overthrow governments with a big enough movement, and Trump has empowered the anti-immigration narrative. That's more important than whoever wins America's Next Top Spokesperson.

I would be more suspicious if there were another populist he were taking votes from, but there isn't. Also, the media is not only lambasting him for his words, but running with the essentially fake quote of "[McCain] is not a hero." While Trump did say that, he immediately corrected himself, saying "He is a hero for getting captured." yet the former is emblazoned on headlines across the country.

RE: The Candidacy of Donald Trump
I think most people agree with Trump that McCain isn't a hero in the normal sense of the term. He got captured and tortured. Anyone can get captured. Heroes die for their causes. He's a warmonger and only him dying of old age will stop his insanity.
