Drama at a Wedding in Nyeri
A wedding ceremony at Kiamwathi PCEA Church in Nyeri town was almost called off at the last minute as drama unfolded when a woman stormed the church, seeking to stop the ceremony on grounds that the groom was her matrimonial husband. Polly Njeri claims to have been married to Joseph Nderitu who was the groom at the wedding, and that the two had sired three children. It took the intervention of several strong men to restrain the woman, as the bride and groom finally exchanged their marriage vows.

In Kisumu what was supposed to be a Christmas gift turned chaotic for one unlucky bridegroom. The man's wedding was disrupted after a woman showed up just in time, to claim she was his wife. Police had to intervene to keep the supposed intruder away but as Ouko Okusah reports, the wedding vows were exchanged in a great hurry.

In what can only be described as the strength of a woman, a wedding procession at St.Bakhita catholic church in Imara Daima was delayed for a while after the bride went into labour and gave birth to a baby girl, and after the delivery the bride Catherine Mwikali Nderitu amazingly picked-up herself to continue with her wedding.
