Wonders of nature
A child, it is said, is a gift from God. And for Mzee Cheserem Bogoria, his were a ten-fold gift from God. But unfortunately, two of the gifts have caused him and his wife more agony than joy. The two children have strange physical features, which have kept villagers talking behind their backs, and one child has already run away from home to live in the bush. And as Ferdinand Omondi reports from Baringo County, Cheserem is appealing for help to save his other child, who is still at home.

RE: Wonders of nature
One of them already ran away…TO LIVE IN THE BUSH…..

I respect that ability…although it's sad for the kid because kid humans need socializing. But any man who has the ability to live on their own, in nature….and especially in a country that has lions and cheetahs and hyenas and all kinds of crazy motherfucking animals running all around, has got my respect.

Most "geniuses" in developed countries can't live outdoors -even if it was in a campground. That's because most people would rather stand in front of the mirror and primp and then go out so that other people can see them, than they would to learn how to make fire and shelter.

Socializing is like the powdered wig thing to do. Comparing one powdered wig with another. That's all it really is. But it's only important because all the basic necessities are already met -food, shelter, fire, clean water. So, the only thing we have left to work on being individuals -as opposed to an integrated part of the community. We don't NEED to have skills to do the essential things. It's all been automated. What's not automated, then? Answer: Our looks.

The people who look weird, are often the ones who are forced to go back and learn those essential lessons that nature requires us all to know -IF we live outside the social structure, that is.

But sometimes, looking weird is an indication of a flaw. Flaws, on a primitive-thinking level, are possible liabilities to the general society. Flawed individuals get kicked out of the nest so that the only the strongest survive and carry on the best genes through subsequent generations. Flawed individuals slow the pace. They attract predators. They could be dangerous. Beyond that, they might be viewed as being magical or devilish…and, thus, frightening to the rest of the society. All kinds of things can happen when someone looks different or acts differently. Differences, in a homogenous society, stand out as flaws or impurities..

Segregation is what people do. White people do it. Black people do it. Asian people do it. We might tolerate each other, but we generally want to be in our own, recognizable groups. In "developed" countries, we don't want things that make us all be the same. We want the things that make us all different. In underdeveloped countries, people are more concerned with the group structure and being the same -out of necessity and dependence on each other. So when a weird anomaly comes out, it's treated as a liability and rejected.

If people are living in primitive ways, closer to animals, then it's not surprising that there will be animalistic ways to treat "flawed" individuals. It's what nature requires. In a developed society, this would be almost the opposite.
