RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
it was a bogus decision.. the fight metrics are bogus as well. They are counting a lot of insignificant strikes by floyd.

Manny's fault as well, he didn't finish Floyd.

Floyd did not come off looking good in that fight. Not at all.

A chance to make boxing popular again and floyd blew it with his nike speed running tactics.

RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
I was just saying that to somebody

Floyd gets credit for pittt patter but manny gets none for unloading on floyds arms while he straight up cowers

Freddies other fighter provodnikov has now lost 3 shit decisions because of this exact same shit

The judges hate offensive fighters with a passion

They love that cowardly black defensive style

manny's flurries did land..and I don't think they were counted in the metrics. the metrics were rigged. someone needs to do a careful analysis.

RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
Even if they didnt they should be counted because hes the one in control at the point

Ring generalship is part of the scoring criteria

Its not hard to cover up with big ass gloves.it takes no skill

RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
if ring generalship is counted than floyd lost every round.

Can you post the rules?

I don't feel Many lost.. I don't think he really won either. I just gave him an edge because he dealt more effective strikes.

the fight was pure bullshit. shame on both of them. the fight felt like a business transaction

I cant find a copy of the official scoring guidelines but if you do a search for boxing scoring you will see that
Aggression , rg, and clean punching are the three things looked at.some sources state defense as a fourth but i think those are bias people (negros)

I think this shit started with hagler-leonard.first time I remember a defensive fighter using bitchassery and shit judging criteria to beat an offensive fighter in a huge fight and ironically enough he won using arm flurries at the end of rounds

RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
Worst possible fight. Mayweather wins on pure bitch-assery as predicted.

My streams audio was jacked the first few rounds. Once it came on it was just too aggravating. I thought the bias was too strong in the Canelo fight, this was plain dirty. They didnt replay any of Pac's flurries, but instead chose to show Mayweather slipping out of the corner.

Did Pacquaio land any power punches flush? -No
Did Mayweather win that fight? -NO!

RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
Its funny how the whole media's values shift to favor counter-punching just for Floyd.

Do you think these Red-Blooded Americans would be praising back peddling, defensive clinching and light counterpunching with minimal volume if Floyd wasn't the one doing it?

Hell no, it would be 'judges favor the aggressor' 'moving forward' 'volume is important' etc.

That was sickening. Boxing is fixed. I don't want to watch it again.

^ great posts Kungfool. that was a pathetic display by Floyd.

If the tables were turned, they would have given the decision to Floyd.

I do think Manny won that fight. he was in control the whole fight while floyd was running.

all the commentators were biased for Floyd. it was sickening. Manny landed a lot of power shots as well.

One of the biggest let downs ever.

very uneventful fight.

Sports are the modern version of the roman circus.

panem et circenses (Bread and Circus)

also when I found out Manny switched to protestant I felt god would not be on his side. God requires obedience not protest.

RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
Could you imagine what they'd be saying about counterpunching if it was a Kid Yamomoto type doing it? It would 100% be seen as a sign of weakness. They'd be saying its all about aggression, pushing the pace, taking risks.

All Mayweather has to do is stall and he wins by default. He WILL remain undefeated, and I won't be watching.

Really, it was a Draw almost every round. If I had to break it down I'd give PAC 5-6 and Mayweather 12.

Boxing has to be one of the most corrupt sports. Shit like that makes it hard to complain about the UFC.

I wish MMA would do away with Boxing's disgraceful scoring system.

RE: Mayweather - Pacquiao Discussion thread
he didn't win that fight. that's all i know.

manny disappointed but at least he tried to fight. Manny didn't look bad in that fight. he was never hurt or in trouble. conversely floyd was hurt in an early exchange.

this sport is pathetic.
