Jesus was born a Jew, and the U.S. is by all accounts the whore of the world, and men that call on the destruction of Israel don't think of it as prophecy fulfilled, but self-fulfilling prophecy by a superpower bent on glorifying itself above all;The Great Satan,
But this fulfills prophecy regardless of how it comes about.

It also shows God's love in "Even the least of these".
I don't believe they are God's chosen people because of their inherent righteousness, but rather their constant disobedience.
They are God's chosen people to show the world the extent of His mercy., because to even the most blind, man's wisdom would say it was Esau, not Jacob that was the most righteous. Therein lies the distinct difference between man's wisdom and God's.
That's my opinion in a nutshell.
