RE: Had My First Night Terror Last Night
My favorite night terror occurred on the first night I slept with an ex-girlfriend. When the sleep paralysis ended, I had 0 clue who she was.

Eyes bugging out I recoiled away from her, I asked "Who are you?!"

She replied: "Are you fuckin kidding me?"

I'm not sure why things didn't work out.

I guess it didn't matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.

There have several instances where I have been lying in bed in the that state between light and deep sleep and I have felt the bed shake in a kind of sideways motion (not up and down). I have read somewhere that this is a rare but normal, natural occurrence, something about the stomach muscles if they are spasmodic enough that they can cause the bed to shake. The article went on to remark that people would not think that those type of muscles would cause that type of motion, especially if the person lying there thinks his or her the rest of body is not moving, but that it does happen and that is definitely is not a paranormal event.

Anyone else have this experience?

I believe I have. I remember it feeling like a vibrating earthquake. Scary as hell until you come to and realize what it was.

I guess it didn't matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.

It would be more like sleep walking, except you are briefly paralyzed. Eyes wide open etc.

One time, I had a night terror and there was this demonic machine speaking in tongues right next to my bed. When the paralysis ended, I did the only logically thing, and punched it in the face. Turns out it was just the fan next to my bed. I told my Jamaican co worker about it later that day, and he was convinced there was a "ghost in the fan."

This happened one more time a few days later, with the exact same results except this time the punch broke the fan once and for all. That was the last time I was visited by the "ghost in the fan."

I guess it didn't matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.

RE: Had My First Night Terror Last Night
sleep paralysis never happened to me.

except this one time when i was young and went to the washroom..... there was someone in it with the light on and a crack..... i waited outside for a few minutes then knocked on the door.

the door slowly creeked open and i looked through the crack, a face of a horse met me on the other side. it was a long horse face..... not a human's face. but a horse. brown with the horse hair and everything. i started screaming and my parents woke up they rushed to me...... there was no one in the washroom.

this experience is so vivid i remember every detail till this day.

RE: Had My First Night Terror Last Night
I guess I had this once when I was a teenager. I was dreaming I think, but in my dream, I knew if I didn't physically move in real life, I was going to be killed by some horrific thing that I couldn't see, but I could hear.

There was a countdown going down from 10 and the horrific thing's screams getting closer and closer. I managed to move my arm IRL by the time the countdown got to 3 and the horrific thing was very close. Almost instantly I could move the rest of my body IRL and got the fuck out of bed with a quickness.

Twas a very freaky way to wake up, and only happened the once that I can remember.

RE: Had My First Night Terror Last Night
I didn't really consider it a night terror, just another time I escaped the jaws of death.

I figure I'll keep escaping until I don't and die, just like everybody else.

Oh boy, the mark of the beast showed at work today.

Pretty exciting couple of days.

One of the machines just kept printing 6's over and over again...no matter what screen you went to or what you tried to enter.

Fix by rebooting?

Nope. Continues randomly entering even when nobody is touching it.

It's on video. One of my employee's recorded it on their iPhone.

RE: Had My First Night Terror Last Night
Last night I had sleep paralysis for the first time in 15 years or so .

Rolled on my back which I never ever do and opened my eyes to something that looked like a small yellow beanbag chair with no eyes or nose but a small round mouth with several rows of metallic teeth

It didnt sit on my chest like most SP hallucinations but hovered by my stomach and then Made its way out of sight and for a few seconds I was convinced it was going to bite my toes off .I tried my hardest to move my arms but the pressure on my shoulders was too much

I dont believe its supernatural but I began to recite the latin rosary in my head because ive heard that can be comforting.it didnt speed things up but it helped me stay calm

I think anti-histamines increase the chances of having SP.I took hydroxyzine last night and the last time I had it I was on a high dose benadryl

RE: Had My First Night Terror Last Night
I've had night terrors a handful of times.

Last one was years ago. I was at my girlfriend's house. I got up out the bed then went to sleep on the couch. Next thing I know I'm in some dark forest and I'm running for my life... Next thing I know I think I'm fully awake and trapped in my body. I see the living room I'm in. I'm on the couch, stuck thinking WTF... Then I see a dark shadowy figure standing there watching me. At that point I start screaming "Wake Up" over and over and after a few minutes I wake up and I'm on the couch...

I know when this happens because the first couple of times I realized I was still asleep even though I'm dreaming vividly... There is always the dark forest and the shadowy figure in these night terrors... I learned that if I scream "WAKE UP" I usually get up shortly afterwards...

I've had night terrors maybe 15 times my whole life... Maybe 10... I never forget these night terrors either.. Always the same scenario... Woods... Vividly dreaming... Paralyzed... Shadow figure...

I have tried to cause night terrors... I have wished for them to happen so I can explore them deeper... It never works but When they do happen I immediately want to wake up...

The last time it happened I encountered the shadow figure .it stood just out of sight like the beanbag ghoul did after it got off my stomach.could sense it watching me though.

If anyone is so inclined, I'd recommend this vid on sleep paralysis.
