What are your opinions on Bitcoins?
Back in January a Bitcoin was worth about £10, today it is worth about £45 and that price has gone up by about £10 in the last three days!!

Three days ago I bought 3 Bitcoins for £36 each (£108) and today sold 2.5 Bitcoins for £103.50 (slightly less than market price so that I could get a quick sale.)

Combined with the 0.5 Bitcoin I ended up getting from a giveaway of another new currency (Ripples), I currently now have 1 Bitcoin that was essentially free. (because of the differences it cost £4.50 but I don't really count that as its less than I would spend on a takeaway)

With all the recent activity it got me thinking about whether Bitcoins were a viable currency or not. So far I have only ever dabbled in relatively small amounts as I am studying for a degree and don't have a lot of spare cash.

So is bitcoin the currency that can help bring down the NWO or is just another of their tools?

RE: What are your opinions on Bitcoins?
If there is no way to tax it and it gets bigger they will clamp down on it.

although they could market it as the "next hip" thing to get people used to all digital currency.

It seems not much effort is being made to stop it.

however I will need to look into it more.

RE: What are your opinions on Bitcoins?
bitcoins might be legit for now.. however they always try to market something as grassroots when it's not.

the tea party was NOT grassroots, it was elite funded.

Bitcoin is still a fiat or "fake currency" backed by nothing.

Also all bitcoin accounts are semi-anomymous for now but could change at any moment.

I think accounts will always be fairlynanonymous, it is possible to generate a new 'address' for every single transaction.

The only issue I can see with anonymity is when you want to 'cash out' to classic fiat. There are exchanges for that but they increasingly want more and more details. There are however other Bitcoin users that will make Bank Transfers or even cash in hand.

So 'the man' need never know who you are.

My main concern with Bitcoin is that it is very easy to be scammed. Bitcoin transactions are non-reversible and obviously the governments have zero interest in the various claims people have tried to file against the scammers.

yes, if there is a conspiracy with this.. I think it's too condition people to accept all digital fiat currency.

eventually they want people to switch to all digital.. then there will be full control.

I am betting the Zeitgeist socialists are ALL over bitcoin.

far better than a new currency would be a fair and clear tax code.

Quote:"The idea of a social credit system may derive from this resource Internet in the context of how it would deal with the human component of its creation and maintenance. In essence, the idea of a social credit economic system is based on people being allowed more bandwidth of resources relative to the reputation they build in the society as whole, this reputation digitally tracked life-long, and the public opinion of a particular activity they are engaged in. It’s sort of like having a system that Googles your name regularly to see how many people know you on-line and how positive their opinions of you and then assigns you a credit rating based on that on the premise that what you do has a certain greater than average value to the society. I sometimes call this Star Trek Economics because the concept was first presented in the popular culture in the Star Trek TV series.

LMFAO @ this. I could see the liberals implementing something like this.

You don't agree with gay marriage, abortion and other things.. YOU LOSE SOCIAL CREDIT

It's like Neteller and the poker boom for me. Thank God I wasn't allowed to open an account in Hong Kong or I'd have taken a big hit.

I don't need them for anything and have no interest in their worth. It's not real worth anyway until you get paid out.

I have found that over time, people who speculate to make a buck wind up losing. Sure there are winners, but they're in the minority.

RE: What are your opinions on Bitcoins?
I agree about the vast majority of people being losers when it comes to things like Bitcoin. The now infamous Pirateat40 cost a lot of people a lot of money.

He was offering unbelievable rates of interest. Unfortunately for most of his customers they were unbelievable and he was running a ponzi. I got very lucky on that one, I pulled my money out of his scheme 2 weeks before it went under. The main problem with Pirate though was that there were many other lenders out there saying they weren't affiliated to him and were offering good interest rates. When he went down he ended up dragging nearly all of the others with him.

I'll be honest through that period I was insanely lucky, pulled out of Pirate's game 2 weeks prior to him pulling the plug on his ponzi and because I had such a small amount of Bitcoin with another user called Hashking (worked out at about £25 at the time) I got my money back from him as well. That's why this time around I'm not gonna mess about, I've already cashed out the fiat investment that I made and anything else will be pure profit.

I plan on sitting on my 1 remaining Bitcoin for a loooong time and see where it will take me. I'm quietly optimistic that it could exceed £100 by the end of the year.

yep. sounds like zeitgeist to me.

it's entirely hilarious how they think the whole process has been organic or an "inevitable outcome"

billions upon billions of media messages/NGO collaboration/legal incentives have brought about this situation.

Yep EY, thinking about the history of Bitcoin it is crazy that there isn't more people questioning it.

In 2009 someone under an assumed name of 'Satoshi Nakamoto' releases the open source client for Bitcoin. He then frequented forums explaining things to people for a year or two, and then mysteriously he disappears.

Even now no-one really knows who he is. Which is some pretty scary shit when you think about it.
