yeah. none of the groups are easy but I think Japan is certainly very capable of beating Greece and Colombia. Ivory Coast will be the toughest from my estimation.

I think Japan will bring their strongest squad yet to a world cup this time around.

Nagatomo, Honda, Kagawa, Endo etc.

but at the same time I would not be surprised if they flopped. There will be a lot of pressure on them to perform.

i think it's obvious all the world cups are rigged to some extent.

although the bottom bracket looks slightly weaker on paper you can't really argue that a team was clearly favored in the draw. Brazil has an easy 1st round, but a nasty 2nd against either Spain or Netherlands. FIFA doesn't rig matches. They are corrupt in other ways, like they are exempt from paying taxes to the host country.

I would say FIFA rigged the matches in favor of Korea in 2002. blatant rigging and bias towards korea with all the calls.

and with the new revelations that hundreds of soccer games have been rigged, it would not be surprise me if even the world cup is rigged to some degree.

team Japan:

the team will certainly get some Bundesliga support

love Japan's technical, attacking yet stoic style of play.

Their defense sucks though. they need to reinforce the back end.

You're probably right.

Too bad for Japan that Kagawa moved to United -- he would have gotten much better preparation for this WC had he stayed with Dortmund, who are, at this point, a much better side than United.

Japan is a relatively easy group. they should make the top 16. If they make it to the quarterfinals it would be a record performance. highly possible with Kagawa and Honda on the attack.

SK is probably in the easiest group, but all of the groups are pretty stacked.

Group E is also on the thin side.

I don't know much about the Japanese squad, but I'm aware of Honda and Kagawa.

They would seem to have a strong mid-field with those two.

the seeding system is so fucked. Italy and England should've been above Belgium and Switzerland, don't care what FIFA's bs ranking system says.
