Cotto v. Martinez
Sergio Martinez knees shot---he moved around like an arthritic old man against a controlled, powerful smaller Cotto....

Cotto went 12 against Mayweather, Pacquiao in hard losses, but looks like he's a new man having been trained by Freddy Roach...

Cotto is now the lineal & WBC middleweight champion of the world...

Gennady Golovkin, WBA champion (29–0–0–0 26 KOs) looms in the near future as a super-fight???!!!!

RE: Cotto v. Martinez
stylistically cotto was always gonna be problems for martinez.

martinez depends on speed and mobility. smaller, faster fighters are more problematic for him than bigger opponents. he is always potshotting then using his feet to get him out of range. what happens when the guy can follow you after your shots?

cotto did exactly that. followed martinez right into the ropes.

martinez also rarely ever spars. that is a huge problem against an inverted southpaw like Cotto. His punches are from odd angles.
