Quote:US-NATO War Continues to Creep East
February 5, 2017 (Ulson Gunnar - NEO) - Despite unmaterialized hopes of a new tack for US foreign policy, it appears that each and every front of US aggression has reopened in earnest, from the Middle East vis-a-vis Iran, to the South China Sea opposite China and now across Eastern Europe between US-led NATO and Ukrainian forces against Russia.

Quote:Haley’s statement could hardly have been stronger. She not only assailed Russia for its “aggressive actions,” but described them as “a replay of far too many instances over many years” when it has behaved the same. She called for a “clear and strong condemnation,” declared that the crisis would not end “until Russia and the separatists it supports respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and demanded the return of Crimea as well.

“Crimea is a part of Ukraine,” Haley said. “Our Crimea-related sanctions will remain in place until Russia returns control over the peninsula to Ukraine.”

They don’t call Member of Parliament Mustafa Nayem “Father of the Revolution” for nothing.
Anna Nemtsova, 10.17.15

KIEV — Mustafa Nayem is a 34-year-old Ukrainian Member of Parliament known by many in Kiev as “the Father of the Revolution” because of his role igniting the Maidan protests that began almost two years ago. And he’s still at it. Earlier this month, Parliament adopted a law pushed by Nayem and his friends that was intended to cut the influence of Ukraine’s oligarchs on party financing. As Nayem announced on his Facebook page, it was meant to be “a hammer and scalpel, which if we use in the right way, will cut out the heart of corruption.”

Quote:Mustafa Nayyem: The Man Who Sparked the Revolution.

A Ukrainian journalist of Afghan origin, Nayyem was one of the leaders of the anti-censorship movement and one the founders of Hromadske TV, the channel that became popular for live streamimg the Euromaidan protests.

Without Nayyem, there might have been no Revolution. After then president Viktor Yanukovych “paused” preparations for signing an association agreement with the EU, the journalist turned to Facebook. “Let’s meet at 10:30 p.m. near the monument to independence in the middle of Maidan,” he posted, and thousands of Ukrainians flooded the streets. Three months later, Yanukovich fled the country.

Nayyem is one of the Euromaidan activists who went from barricades to government offices in hope of turning post-revolutionary Ukraine into a prosperous European state.
