RE: PDEKING archive
Josh barnett mentioned before that yoshida had incredible grip strength..
Yoshida was able to hang with some of the best HWs.. submitting HUNT, going to toe to toe with SUPER HWs like Josh Thompson. yet he was helpless against 175 lb. Royce Gracie? i am actually thinking that Pdeking's hypothesis on the 2nd fight may be true. Those who know, know! ![]() |

RE: PDEKING archive
Josh said that Yoshida was stronger than Bob Sapp. Yoshida benched over 400lbs if memory serves. I think Yoshida was burnout in the 2nd fight, only reason I think he'd lay down for Royce is the Yakuza threatened his family or something. But that doesn't even make sense from a gambling perspective because the fight was still a draw, which was a very likely result considering the rules were the fight was automatically ruled a draw if it went the distance. So I don't see how Yakuza could make a shitload of money with that result.
to put things into perpective, Royce struggled to control Bobby Ologun. |

RE: PDEKING archive
yeah there was that pic of him benching at least 325 or something.
It could have been fatigue, but 2004 was PRIME yoshida... dude still had the "fire" and shortly after gave prime Wand one of his toughest fights ever. and Royce was lucky he didn't get whooped by Ologun. Ologun showed some respect for the gracie aura. Those who know, know! ![]() |

RE: PDEKING archive
I agree.
Ologun was taking it easy IMO. if he spazzed out Royce would have been finished. Those who know, know! ![]() |

not sure if Kirik would give up that kind of info, it would look bad on the site IMO.
perhaps if we create a super anti-JUDO troll poster.. he will show up? Those who know, know! ![]() |

RE: PDEKING archive
it seems he only had one mission, which was to reclaim the honor of Judo.
after that was accomplished, he disappeared from the interwebz. I don't think i've ever seen him post about anything else besides BJJ vs. JUDO Those who know, know! ![]() |

Especially, an actor named Pe Yong Jun (the main character of “Winter Sonata”, which was aired in Japan last year) is a superstar in Japan. Already, 7 photo books about him have been published. When Tom Cruise came to Japan to promote Last Samurai, 500 women rushed to the airport. When Pe Yong Jun (age 31) came to Haneda Airport, 5000 women between age 12 and 85 rushed and converged to the airport terminal pushing and pressing against each other. In the midst of the chaos, 2 women (age 85) in the crowd fainted and were carried out on a stretcher to a nearby hospital. My mother, age 71, is also crazy about this actor. She watched Winter Sonata, and started to study Korean last year. The word “kankokujin” simply means “a Korean”. It is not rude at all. ![]() |

40-50 around the time of that post.
let's say he's 45, it's been 8 years , that puts him at 53 now. It is possible he is one of those profs. Those who know, know! ![]() |
