RE: ISRAEL - Discussion Thread
Quote:Netanyahu’s UN speech: Sounds like a sociopath?

Iranian missiles will hit New York in “three to four years”. A nuclear Iran is like “50 North Koreas”.

This could be the sound of a deranged, dangerous sociopath, or this could be the sound of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu addressing the UN General Assembly.

Compare for yourself. Last week we had Iranian President Hassan Rouhani calling for the world to surf a WAVE (as in World Against Violence and Extremism).

This week we had Bibi saying that was a “cynical” and “totally hypocritical honey trap”.

In the world according to Netanyahu, “Ahmadinejad was a wolf in wolf’s clothing. Rouhani is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” Rouhani tried to present himself as “pious”, but he’s always been involved with “the terror state of Iran”. He’s like “a serial killer going to court dressed in clerical attire and giving testimony to his nature as an ‘ethical’ and ‘religious’ man.”

Ranting aside, Bibi did change his game. Now it’s not silly cartoons and begging the US to bomb Iran virtually on a weekly basis. Now it’s Iran’s “military nuclear program” that must be shut down – a program, by the way, that the alphabet soup of US intelligence agencies says does not exist.

And this after Netanyahu told US President Barack Obama to forget – forever - UN Security Council resolution 242, which determined total Israeli withdrawal from all lands occupied after the 1967 war.

What a bomb
So let’s get some things straight.

The state of Israel does not have any internationally recognized borders, and does not have an internationally recognized capital. It’s bound to be perpetually expanding.

Israel has disrespected no less than 69 UN Security Council resolutions and has been “protected” from no less than 29 more, courtesy of US vetoes.

It has been occupying sovereign territory of Lebanon and Syria without giving a damn to UN Security Council resolutions.

Israel signed the Oslo Accords promising to stop building for good, any new settlements in Palestine. Instead, it has built over 270 new settlements. This is part of the slow motion ethnic cleansing of Palestine over the past six decades.
Israel has been threatening to bomb Iran on a weekly basis for at least three decades.

Israel is an undeclared nuclear power with as many as 400 nuclear warheads; refuses to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT); bars international inspections; never ratified the Chemical Weapon Convention Treaty; used chemical weapons on Gaza; and holds an undeclared stockpile of chemical weapons larger than any other nation in the Middle East.

Iran, on the other hand, has no nuclear warheads. Iran has signed the NPT and is inspected on a regular basis. Iran has not invaded another country for at least 250 years. Iraq under Saddam Hussein invaded Iran in 1980, but Iran did not occupy Iraqi territory.

The Israel lobby in Washington and the US Congress imposed a financial blockade on Iran, which for all practical purposes is a declaration of war. This has led to a massive depreciation of the Iranian rial – with drastic consequences for the lives of ordinary Iranians. Yet in his meeting with Obama this Monday in Washington, Netanyahu not only asked for more sanctions; he said Israel will unilaterally attack Iran if Rouhani’s words are not followed by “action”.

The real “international community”, as in the overwhelming majority of the developing world, including the BRICS group of emerging powers, have all these facts at their fingertips. These facts help to see right through Bibi’s game.

Just look at the map
The mere possibility of a US-Iran dialogue is the Israeli right’s real “existential threat”. Bibi won't accept even Iran’s right to enrich uranium for civilian purposes, accorded to it by the NPT.

A US deal with Iran is a win-win proposition for all; not only the two principals but energy-starved Europeans, the global economy, multinational corporations, you name it. Except for Israel.

Bibi’s nightmare is the Islamic Republic of Iran not only as an independent geopolitical actor in Southwest Asia – which it already is – but also as a thriving regional power; in this aspect, the only way for Iran is up, considering its huge, young, well-educated population, its massive energy resources, it's fabulous location and its complex ties to South, Central and East Asia.

For the Israeli right, the status quo is ideal. Either we find US puppets such as the petro-monarchies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC); or Arab secular republics that – with various degrees of Israeli input – have been mired in extreme turmoil, like Iraq and especially Syria.

It’s very easy for Israel to maneuver among these actors; the Israelis can, for instance, rejoice with a military coup in Egypt (because the Egyptian military are no threat) while partnering with Saudi Arabia to try to bring down Assad in Syria. Middle East balkanization over sectarian lines is sweet as honey for Israel.

But Iran as an emerging economic/political power, with normalized relations with the US and Western Europe, it’s a much more serious matter, “existentially” threatening Israel’s supposed hegemony in the Middle East, which rests solely on its military muscle (not to mention hidden nuclear capability).

So much for Netanyahu ’s obsession with regime change in Tehran - or the next best option, which is total isolation from the West (because as far as the East is concerned, Iran has thriving relations with all key actors in Asia).

The crucial point is that Iran’s “existential threat” has been extremely useful for the Israeli right as a diversionary tactic, changing the subject from what’s happening in real life; a nuclear garrison state/settler colony literally, graphically wiping a whole people - the Palestinians - off the map. When in doubt, just look at the map.

So here’s where we are. Netanyahu is a hawk who swears by Eretz Israel – a “Greater” Israel with ever-expanding borders and undisputed military/nuclear hegemony in the Middle East. He has powerful allies; US extreme right-wingers and neo-cons, demented Republicans who will support anything as long as it’s against Obama, a great deal of the Israeli-manipulated US Congress, large swathes of corporate media. They will stop at nothing to derail even the hint of an agreement between Washington and Tehran.

The temptation for the real “international community” would be to tell Netanyahhu to shut up – and go play with his silly cartoons. Obama at the UN last week said his priorities are now Iran and taking another shot at solving the Israeli-Palestinian tragedy. So the ball is really in Obama’s court – not the sociopath’s.

I noticed that certain world leaders, mostly the warmongers with insatiable appetites for power, are being routinely called "sociopaths" now. I see them being called that in print, on youtube, in blogs, on message boards and in conversation. Maybe that was a popular term for these people before, but I don't recall it being used so often as it has this past year. I think it is a fitting term for these people, these men and women who are willing if not happy to inflict death and many years of suffering on millions of people in order to fulfill their agendas.

Israeli settlers storm al-Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of extremist Israeli settlers have stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds (Jerusalem) under army protection and raised Israel flag inside the mosque, which is the third holiest site in Islam, reports say.

Local media reported that a group of 14 settlers raised an Israeli flag while touring the mosque’s compound on Monday.

Reports also said that after the incident, Israeli police closed Magharbe Gate that leads to al-Aqsa Mosque compound for visitors.

Police forces are also said to have removed the settlers from the area.

The latest incident comes after a similar event on September 18, when Israeli forces stormed the mosque compound, firing tear gas at Palestinian worshippers. Clashes reportedly broke out between the Israeli troops and the Palestinians after they attempted to prevent the worshippers, including women and children, from entering the mosque.

In another similar incident earlier in September, the Israeli military used stun grenades to disperse Palestinian protesters inside the al-Aqsa compound after Friday Prayers, arresting 15 of them.

The al-Aqsa compound, which lies in the Israeli-occupied Old City of al-Quds, is a flashpoint. The compound, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, is the holiest site in Judaism. It is Islam’s third-holiest site after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

Would Israel ‘Go It Alone’ & Bomb Iran Amid Warmed Relations With US?

John Glaser, October 21, 2013

Print This | Share This | Comment

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is really upset that the U.S. and Iran seem to be getting closer to rapprochement. But would Israel go ahead and bomb Iran, as it has long threatened, without a green light from the U.S.?

Iran is in the process of offering significant concessions on its nuclear program and asking in return for the U.S. to recognize its right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes and to lift economic sanctions. A simple deal, it appears. But, asks Uri Sadot of the Council on Foreign Relations, “With the renewed negotiations in place, will Israel dare strike a Middle Eastern nation in defiance of its closest allies?”

“It seems unlikely,” Sadot answers, “but 32 years ago, the answer was yes.”

Quote:On June 7, 1981, Israel launched Operation Opera. A squadron of fighter planes flew almost 1,000 miles over Saudi and Iraqi territory to bomb a French-built plutonium reactor on the outskirts of Baghdad, which Israeli leaders feared would be used by Saddam Hussein to build atomic bombs.

The operation was successful, but the international reaction was severe. On the morning following the attack, the United States condemned Israel, suggesting it had violated U.S. law by using American-made military equipment in its assault. State Department spokesman Dean Fischerreiterated the American position that the reactor did not pose a potential security threat, and White House press secretary Larry Speakesadded that President Ronald Reagan had personally approved the condemnation.

Israel didn’t hesitate back then to bomb what it viewed as a threatening nuclear program, even at the risk of provoking a conflict with the United States — and it will likely not hesitate today.

First, the notion that “the operation was successful” is dubious.

“To begin with, Hussein was not on the brink of a bomb in 1981,” writes Colin Kahl, for Obama administration deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Middle East. Saddam “Hussein had not decided to launch a full-fledged weapons program prior to the Israeli strike.”

“By demonstrating Iraq’s vulnerability,” Kahl explains, “the attack on Osirak actually increased Hussein’s determination to develop a nuclear deterrent,” and Iraq followed up by kicking out UN inspectors and reconstituting a nuclear weapons program in earnest (only to have it virtually destroyed in a 1991 war with the US).

But the point remains, Israel will embrace it’s rogue status if it wants to. This was demonstrated again in 2007, when Israel bombed a nuclear reactor in Syria despite opposition to the strike from President George W. Bush.

Hopefully, U.S.-Iranian rapprochement won’t be the driving force behind an Israeli decision to preventively bomb Iran. The consequences of such a strike would be disastrous. To start with, it would be a grave war crime. It would also ensure the Iranian hardliners who oppose détente win over the moderates like Rouhani, thus immediately rendering the historic U.S.-Iran negotiations kaput.

‘Israel intercepted millions of French calls’

Mossad Seal

Sat Oct 26, 2013 6:23PM GMT

A leaked US intelligence document has revealed that Israel is behind the hacking of millions of phone calls and messages in France.

According to a report by Le Monde on Friday Israeli agents is behind a cyber attack against the communications networks of the Elysee Palace, intercepting more than 70 million calls and text messages a month.

France had initially accused the US of hacking into former French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s communications network during the 2012 presidential election.

Senior French intelligence officials visited the US earlier this year to discuss the attempt to hack into the Elysee communication system.

However, according to a classified documents dated April 2013, which was leaked by former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward Snowden, the agency denied the allegation and reportedly hinted that Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, had been involved in the attack.

The NSA’s Tailored Access Operations (TAO) that handles cyber attacks denied the allegations and said the US closest allies -- Australia, Britain, Canada and New Zealand -- were also not involved, the document reportedly noted.

After the World War Two, the US signed a "no-spying" deal with Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, known as the "Five Eyes" alliance.

“TAO intentionally did not ask either Mossad or (Israel’s cyber intelligence unit) ISNU whether they were involved as France is not an approved target for joint discussions,” extracts from the document published by Le Monde read.

The report comes amid outrage over claims the US has been monitoring the telephone conversations of 35 world leaders.

"A US official provided NSA with 200 phone numbers to 35 world leaders… Despite the fact that the majority is probably available via open source, the PCs [intelligence production centers] have noted 43 previously unknown phone numbers. These numbers plus several others have been tasked," said the classified document provided by Snowden.

Snowden, a former CIA employee, leaked two top secret US government spying programs under which the NSA and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are eavesdropping on millions of American and European phone records and the Internet data from major Internet companies such as Facebook, Yahoo, Google, Apple, and Microsoft.

Israel’s ‘underground’ nuke arsenal

Sun Oct 20, 2013 6:56AM GMT

By Gordon Duff

In February 2013, Grant Smith of the Middle East Policy Institute and Anti-War.Com published a story attacking Walter Pincus of the Washington Post for accusing the Army Corps of Engineers of supporting Israel’s nuclear program.

Smith’s proof of the innocence of Israel and the Army Corps of Engineers and his indictment of Pincus for an anti-Israel story is cited here:

“Pincus did not respond to an immediate email request for citations of USACE publications detailing “facilities for handling nuclear weapons,” but a January 4, 2013 Freedom of Information Act request to USACE Humphreys Engineer Support Center in Alexandria requesting documents summarizing "its role in building nuclear weapons handling facilities in Israel” was swiftly answered.

USACE’s response was unusually comprehensive. “This office is responsible for administering requests involving USACE Headquarters. The USACE Europe District is the office responsible for projects involving Israel. I have coordinated with the Europe District and have been informed that none of the facilities that USACE has been involved with were nuclear weapons handling facilities; therefore I will not be requesting that a document search be conducted.”

Grant Smith’s career as a journalist has been based on debunking government denials. In fact, it is harder to catch the Department of Defense actually telling the truth. Everything we now know as fact, the kidnappings and renditions, the torture, NSA spying, and, most recently, claims of Assad’s use of Sarin in Syria was “official truth” at one time.

Suddenly, a standard government denial outweighs a classified source Walter Pincus of the Washington Post had to push past “fact checkers,” a legal department and a dozen editors to get published at one of the most conservative media outlets in the world.

Did we just learn, not just that the DOD is funding Israel’s nuclear program but that independent investigative journalists may well have a role in protecting these dangerous and illegal programs?

Who Is What?

Smith’s article is curious. It is nearly impossible to see it as other than “cheerleading” for Israel and a poorly researched cover up. The theme of the article is hardly “anti-war,” quite the opposite and provides extensive cover for Israel’s childish denials of the nuclear capabilities it continually threatens the world with.

Veterans Today had received its own information about these facilities, multiple underground bunkers, nuclear-hardened, intended to provide command and control and needed support for Israel’s strategic command, their “nuclear command.”

Our own investigation showed the facilities to provide direct command and control for nuclear forces and, in one case, include hardened facilities for unspecified “Weapons of Mass Destruction” that included materials handling equipment exclusively used to deploy nuclear weapons.

Washington Post

Veterans Today had initially broken the story based on Pentagon sources. However, Walter Pincus, of the Washington Post, in November 2012 wrote the following:

“Over the years, the Corps has built underground hangers for Israeli fighter-bombers, facilities for handling nuclear weapons (though Israel does not admit having such weapons), command centers, training bases, intelligence facilities and simulators, according to Corps publications.”

For those who are unaware of such things, any information the US has regarding Israel’s nuclear arsenal is highly classified. The US effort to follow Israel’s weapons developments is handled through our embassy in Tel Aviv. It is the primary job of our attaché at the embassy to monitor this.

Colonel James B. Hanke, US Army Special Forces (ret) had been our attaché under Ambassador Pinkerton. Hanke oversaw us intelligence gathering inside Israel and was tasked with monitoring their nuclear capabilities.

Policies during the Clinton era that put “America first” ended with the Bush (43) presidency.

Thus, when the Army Corps of Engineers began building huge underground facilities, 5 in total, in Israel, those intelligence officers remaining from the “America first” era were shocked.

You see, there were no provision made for inspection of these facilities once they were turned over. Moreover, as Israel is a major nuclear power, it would be inconceivable that a “strategic command center” would not control “strategic weapons.”

However, the leaked classified information that Pincus would have used and never could have provided sources for out of journalistic ethics, had “shopped” this very real scandal to other publications. Only Veterans Today and the Washington Post printed it.

Smith Gets It Right Also

To make this all even more theatrical and confusion, Grant Smith very rightly cites a 2006 Walter Pincus story defending Steve Rosen and Keith Weismann of AIPAC, the Israel lobby organization, against spying charges.

These charges were later dropped on the basis of “national security.”

Pincus defends Rosen and Weisman’s acquisition and transfer to Israel of nuclear secrets as “freedom of the press,” quoting several supporting sources, all of which are AIPAC controlled.

Veterans Today editor, Gwyneth Todd, while a member of the National Security Council under Bush (43), met with FBI agents and cooperated in FBI surveillance under the orders of Condoleezza Rice, her direct superior.

A much larger espionage ring including top Bush White House insiders was discovered and volumes of evidence were accumulated including hour after hour of tape recorded confessions.

Smith, historically a strong critic of AIPAC, burns Pincus, rightly so, for a pitiful 2006 story using biased sources to defend Israeli spying on the US.

Here, in 2013, however, we find Grant Smith doing almost exactly what he has exposed Pincus for and, ironically, does so in the very same story. Are we not supposed to notice?

Smith’s position for analysis is that Israel uses press assets like Pincus who publish stories on US aid to Israel’s nuclear programs to cover up even worse Israeli abuses.

“Hinting that the U.S. government has an ongoing official -though deeply secret- role in helping Israel develop and deploy nuclear weapons is a line periodically pushed by Israel lobby partisans when uncomfortable facts about questionable funding flows from the U.S. or illicit material and technology diversions arise.”

Our own analysis is different than Smith’s. US complicity in taxpayer funding for Israel’s “ambiguous” nuclear program is, as we see it, a “red line.”

This is something that can end funding to Israel and evidence of these underground facilities exists, though highly classified.

Moreover, America’s willingness to build “Cheyenne mountain” type facilities, not just defensive but a nuclear hardened “war room,” a command and control facility in response to an Iranian ‘nuclear threat’ even Smith himself has always admitted was imaginary, is a fraud of the highest order.

What is telling is Smith’s use of materials, an unclassified document received through Freedom of Information, which would and could never adequately address something at this security level.

Simply put, when the US spends billions to build underground facilities and makes no provision as to how they are used and simply gives them to a government that has waged aggressive war against its neighbors, a nuclear power that issues threats constantly, far more than North Korea, it should be assumed all of these facilities are nuclear facilities.

Then again, there are the classified sources that confirmed weapons storage bays, nuclear operations centers and more.

What Smith never mentioned is what, exactly, these facilities are being built for if not to store and deploy nuclear weapons?

If the US believes, as they stated in the document Smith relies on, that Israel would never use them for “nuclear purposes,” then how is the US government assuring that?

America continually demands to examine every facility in Syria and Iran but not Israel.

Do we simply believe Israel? Nobody else does.

Were Smith to be right to the extent his curiosity has allowed, he would still be wrong. It is obvious the US is building massive strategic capabilities in Israel without consulting Congress or the American people.

These are, minimally, a threat to the region and the world.

Even if reports requested were “believable,” they aren’t comprehensively so. Even if these facilities weren’t directly tied to nuclear missile silos, as high level Department of Defense sources have leaked, they could be and certainly would be.

Israel never promised they wouldn’t. We never asked to check.

Nobody asked anything, we were simply too busy shoveling dirt over the problem.

RE: ISRAEL - Discussion Thread
Large majority of Jews favor abortion—for non-Jews

November 17, 2013 — 6 Comments

Kevin MacDonald

In a footnote to Chapter 5 of Separation and Its Discontents, I describe the work of Felix Theilhaber, a racial Zionist working in Germany in the early twentieth century. Like all racial Zionists, Thielhaber wanted to end Jewish intermarriage, increase Jewish fertility, and preserve Jewish racial purity. Theilhaber was very concerned about the declining Jewish birth rate and was politically active in attempting to increase Jewish fertility (going so far as to propose to tax “child-poor” families to support “child-rich” families). At the same time, he was also instrumental in creation of the Gesellschaft für Sexualreform, whose aims were to legalize abortion and make contraceptives available to the German public. (On the other hand, because they were ethnic nationalists, the National Socialists encouraged fertility and enacted laws that restricted abortion and discouraged birth control.)

Now an article on Mondoweiss by Allison Deger points out the hypocrisy of American Jews who simultaneously are staunch supporters of abortion in America but also support anti-abortion organizations in Israel (“‘Pro-Life? Pro-Israel?’: Israeli anti-abortion organization reaches out for US support to fight demographic war in the Jewish state“).

Quote:American Friends of Efrat, the U.S.-based fundraising arm of Efrat …, is an Israeli anti-abortion group with hundreds of volunteers that counsel Jewish women against abortion and provide support for the first year of the child’s life. While in the U.S. pro-life discourse focuses on morality, the American Friends of Efrat looks at abortion from a demographics perspective. Their advertisement for the Committee to Rescue Israeli Babies (C.R.I.B.) program … markets what they call an “inner aliyah,” or increasing Israel’s Jewish population not by flying in new immigrants, but by pumping up the birthrate via anti-abortion counseling and subsidies.

Though Efrat only assists women in Israel, the group has garnered support from inside the beltway through its American partner. Senator Chuck Schumer, a noted pro-choice champion who has used the issue of abortion to secure his New York Senate, attended a 30th anniversary gala for Efrat. Schumer has been lauded by Planned Parenthood who called him a “hero,” with “a 100% pro-choice, pro-family planning voting record,” but in 2007 Schumer put his pro-choice position aside and joined his anti-abortion foes at the celebration. …

According to IRS 990 tax reports, the American Friends of Efrat pulls from mainstream foundations including matching donations from Deutsche Bank, The Goldman Sachs Foundation and the Prudential Foundation. But the heftiest sums come from the Jewish community. Despite the fact that 89% of American Jews support abortion rights, the Federation Foundation of Greater Philadelphia sent the group $100,000 in 2004 and 2006, while the Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles gave C.R.I.B. just over $5,000 in 2007 and $10,000 in 2008. In addition, the Madav IX Foundation, a charitable organization funded by Jewish family foundations but administered by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, gave the C.R.I.B. program $10,000 in 2008. The Madav IX Foundation shares the same Ohio address of the Bennet and Donna Yanowitz Family Foundation that gave the C.R.I.B. program $2,000 in 2004 and $1,000 in 2007.am

To repeat: Chuck Schumer and 89% of American Jews support abortion rights in the U.S., but an anti-abortion rights organization in Israel has no problem attracting money from broad-based mainstream Jewish organizations as well as support from a Jewish politician like Schumer. An ad put out by the group illustrates the mindset:

Quote:Israel is currently fighting a demographic war for her survival. As we go to print Israel’s borders are in jeopardy. The Arab birthright [sic] is about double the Jewish birthrate. General Uzi Dayan speaking as the Director for the Council of National security announced: ‘Demographic projections forecast an Arab majority in Israel by the year 2020 less than 15 years from now.’

This feeds into a prominent theme on TOO: Jews in the West behave as a Diaspora group that sees its interests as opposed to the continued demographic dominance of the West’s traditional peoples and cultures. That means that the organized Jewish community and the great majority of Jews embrace the multicultural, pro-immigration, anti-White left in America and elsewhere while also embracing Israel as a Jewish ethnostate. And it means supporting policies like abortion on demand in the Diaspora, but not in an Israel intent on retaining its Jewish ethnic majority.

After posting this blog (and retracting it for further thought), a correspondent sent me the following two points, which further nail down the point that in Israel, birth control all about ethnic interests, not religious belief or individual freedom. Then in the U.S. and elsewhere in the West, Jewish organizations and the vast majority of Jews favor abortion.

1. In Israel abortion is illegal for married woman of childbearing age (17 years to 40 years old). All abortions must be approved by a five member “Termination committee”.

Quote:“Abortion in Israel” Wikipedia article:

Circumstances under which abortion is legal
A termination committee approves abortions, under sub-section 316a,[1] in the following circumstances:

1. The woman is younger than seventeen (the legal marriage age in Israel) or older than forty.
2. The pregnancy was conceived under illegal circumstances (rape, statutory rape etc.), in an incestuous relationship, or outside of marriage.
3. The fetus may have a physical or mental birth defect.
4. Continued pregnancy may put the woman’s life in risk, or damage her physically or mentally.

Thus Jewish organizations actively work for and support laws legalizing abortions in Christian European ethnic countries and societies but do not oppose or publicize the fact that Israeli law outlaws abortion for woman of childbearing age.

2. Ethiopian Jewish women were told that in order to be allowed on the plane to Israel they had to agree to take Depo Prevara birth control shots, though they were not told that this is long term birth control. This got some publicity in the Israeli press (as an exposé) but was ignored by the Western media. Imagine if any White country had done this what a firestorm of publicity this would have gotten.

Here is a video about it:

As the correspondent implies, one story here is the double standard and hypocrisy involved in birth control issues in Israel vs. the Diaspora. The other is the media silence in the U.S. reflecting Jewish power in the media. It’s easy enough to find articles on the Depo Provera scandal like the article in Haaretz linked above, but a search of the New York Times will come up with nothing. “All the news that’s fit to print” and all that.

Doctor Shekel and Mr Blair: Jewish Wealth Promotes Gibbering Immigration Insanity in the UK and the US

November 27, 2013 — 1 Comment

Tobias Langdon

John Derbyshire of VDare and Taki Mag writes:

Quote:Someday historians will find an explanation for the gibbering insanity of British immigration policy this past fifty years. I have none. (John Derbyshire Finds There’s Still An England — And It Could Yet Be Saved, VDare, 14th November 2013)

Actually, some aspects of this insanity are quite comprehensible. For one thing, the gibbering insanity of British immigration policy reached its peak during the New Labour government (see here). Under Tony Blair, Britain’s treasonous narcissist-in-chief, Britain was flooded with workers for the jobs native Whites won’t do, like suicide-bombing, gang-rape, sadistic murder and no-trace body-disposal.

In this, Blair’s Britain is the exact opposite of far-off Israel, which is determined to maintain its racial and religious identity using border fences and mass deporations.

One might think that Blair would consistently oppose nations that control their borders and thus deprive themselves of all of that wonderful vibrancy and social dissolution. But that would be wrong. Despite its xenophobia and remoteness, Israel is very close to Blair’s heart: according to Haaretz, he is “generally regarded as the most pro-Israel prime minister in British history” (see here).

I am not puzzled by this seeming contradiction because Blair’s rise to power was funded by an ardent Zionist Lord Levy. But Levy was forced to depart after the “Cash for Honours” scandal, in which he sold life peerages to Jewish and Asian businessmen to raise money for Blair. He was replaced as chief Labour fundraiser by Jonathan Mendelsohn, another ardent Zionist and one-time head of Labour Friends of Israel (LFI). During his premiership Blair made lots of sycophantic speeches to LFI and to the Community Security Trust, another powerful Jewish organization. When he departed and was replaced by Gordon Brown, Brown made sure to keep the sycophancy flowing.

So here’s a question: Do politicians who receive lavish funding from rich Jews adopt policies that displease rich Jews?

I think not. Blair’s lies and deceit about the Iraq war did him absolutely no harm with Britain’s vibrant Zionist community. Nor did his open-door policies on immigration. Indeed, he appointed a Jewish minister to oversee them: the peculiar-looking Barbara Roche, who insisted to native Whites that Britain was a “nation of immigrants” and who co-founded the lobbying group Migration Matters, which campaigns for “progressive migration policies” (see here).

But Britain now has a new “Conservative” government under the part-Jewish David Cameron, who entered office loudly promising to slash immigration. Alas, he’s had little success: huge numbers of non-Whites are still pouring in. Does this displease Lord Feldman, the wealthy Jewish chairman of the Tory party who oversees its funding? Apparently not. Does it displease Feldman’s co-chairman, Grant Shapps, another wealthy Jew? Again, apparently not. The Jewish money continues to flow and the Conservative party continues to accept mass immigration and cultural Marxism. Indeed, the party promotes the latter: Cameron was central to the push for gay marriage. Like European integration, gay marriage isn’t popular with ordinary Tories, whom Lord Feldman is alleged to have called “swivel-eyed loons” (see here).

This is strongly reminiscent of the United States, where the leaders of the Republican party seem to despise ordinary Republicans and their views in the same way. And guess what: rich Jews are also funding both sides of American politics. The billionaire George Soros and his ilk fundsthe Democrats and the billionaire Sheldon Adelson and the rest of the Republican Jewish Coalition fund the Republicans. Adelson is an ardent Zionist just like Lord Levy. He wants an amnesty for illegal immigrants in America. But takes an entirely different line for Israel:

Quote:There is no question about Adelson’s support for the most racialist and nationalist elements in Israel. Adelson owns an Israeli newspaper that supports PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard right Likud government. And there can be little question of where his loyalties lie. He has stated that he wishes he would have served in the Israeli military rather than in the US Army, and that he wants his son to grow up to “be a sniper for the IDF [Israeli Defense Force].” (“Sheldon Adelson: Israel and Immigration)

Adelson backs sanity for Israel but “gibbering insanity” for America, which he wants to see flooded by non-Whites. The Republican hierarchy copies Adelson’s views as eagerly as it accepts his money.

This should go some way to enlightening Mr. Derbyshire on a critical force on behalf of immigration insanity in the UK and the US and immigration sanity in Israel. Quite simply, immigration policy cannot be understood without comprehending how Jewish wealth and power flexibly advance Jewish interests in the Diaspora while favouring completely different policies in Israel.
