RE: The $$$ Fight for Inoue
Ryan Garcia: 23 yrs, 5'10"/11ish
What weight class is Ryan Garcia? Ryan Garcia is competing in the Super Featherweight and Lightweight divisions....That is 126-130 lbs for super featherweight and 132 lbs in lightweight range.------ https://bolavip.com/en/sports/boxing-rya...-0002.html Naoya Inoue: 29yrs 5'4"/5ish weight: 118-120lbs "Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn dismisses the idea that Naoya Inoue can become a global superstar. Despite having captured world titles in three weight classes and having amazing knockout skills, Inoue (21-0, 18 KOs) fights in the wrong division to become a global star, says Hearn. Eddie knows from experience that it’s impossible to turn the smaller fight fighters into huge stars. For example, former four-division world champion Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez and Juan Franciso Estrada are not global stars, and they have amazing talent. ‘Monster’ Inoue currently holds the IBF & WBA 118-lb titles, and he’s on a quest to become the undisputed champion in the weight class in 2021. But even if Inoue does accomplish that goal, it’s going to pass right over the heads of the casual boxing fans, who seem more interested in the following weight classes: 135 147 154 160 168 Unlimited If Inoue can move up four more weight classes to campaign at 135, he would have a chance to become a global star. https://www.boxingnews24.com/2021/06/nao...die-hearn/ |

RE: The $$$ Fight for Inoue
He should fight at 125.
That's big enough to be interesting. Also people love the lower weight classes. Inoue is easily the most exciting fighter alive |

RE: The $$$ Fight for Inoue
At 5'5" it would be hard for Inoue to fight at 135lbs and he would probably be at a disadvantage but that Ryan Garcia Nemesis "Tank" Gervanta Davis is 5'5" and I think there's been some buzz that Garcia has been avoiding him
the Main Divisions are Light/Welter-Weight....MiddleWeight....HeavyWeight below LightWeight, I agree with the boxingnews article that generally, people aren't that interested in those divisions still Prince Naseem Hamed did enjoy SuperStar Status for a short time |

RE: The $$$ Fight for Inoue
For Fighters to be recognized P4P SuperStars they have to fight the Big$$$ Fights against other SuperStars so Tank, Garcia, Inoue could be like Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and could generate a lot of exitement if they are willing to do the fights and out of them, I think the one which is willing to take that RISK is TANK so respect to him for being GAME

He is #1 right now UNDENIABLY Those who know, know! ![]() |

RE: The $$$ Fight for Inoue
^I think there is a difference between serious fan and casual fan. To be considered a TOP I think one must be known to the common-person....as example, back in the day EVERYONE knew who Sugar Ray Leonard was
It's not Naoya's fault though. He needs good marketing like any other business |
