I can’t help but be reminded of the thread The Dean posted years ago about the NWO wanting the NWO to fail but I don’t think that is what is happening here. Their predecessors were capable of 10D chess but I don’t believe this batch of elite is at that level.

The elite are actively tanking the west with their decisions, but making life harder for their average citizen actually consolidates their power as well as their wealth. However, they NEEDED the global south on board for this scheme to work. After centuries of imperialism and abuse, the global south is not on board. They seemed to take a wait and see approach by condemning Russia’s actions in the UN (which doesn’t matter since China wasn’t on board) and by refusing to join the sanctions. Now, they are watching Russia successfully defy the west, which gives them hope they can do the same.

I think the actions of the west can be explained by hubris and one of Gustave Le Bon’s final conclusions in his book “The Crowd.” We all know how easy it is for the average person to be controlled and manipulated by propaganda and group think mentality. Le Bon concluded that intelligent people are just as susceptible as the masses in this regard. I believe that is what is happening here.

The elite have become so far removed from society, they can’t see anything except their eventual victory. They are entirely incapable of seeing their own massive shortcomings.
