A friend of mine who is a director at ILM was telling me that out of 40 employees in his department, only 2 were born in the US. Unbelievable that a country of 300mil people can produce so little talent.

My background is in mostly cinematography, StageCraft & motion capture.

I thought most of the 3D animation jobs were already outsourced to Calcutta.

All of the 3D generalist work at ILM is done in San Francisco. I think they have one office in Singapore, but none in India afaik.
