RE: the Ancient Act of Walking
I regret today that I may have finally overdone it with me. my knees have just gotten really bad lately from all the walking. it looks like I may have to resort to bicycle riding for now.

^I have observed that those Australian Aboriginals and African Bushmen as example do not walk like Mall Walkers and instead they stroll stopping often to observe their environment and I seem to realize the best results when I employ this method instead of walking like a contemporary "exerciser"

or maybe it's the cinnabons at the mall which are impossible to refuse Big Grin

The pain was horrible for a few days until I discovered Hemp Seed Oil. It works as well as OTC pain pills like Motrin and Advil. Plus it seems much healthier and I sleep better.

Thanks for your kind words.

RE: the Ancient Act of Walking
^I do not know the feeling of your condition, only you know how that is and what you are comfortable to do. The "strolling" really gives me a good result. I walk a long time yet it is not a vigorous walk as I stop and observe nature, animals, I usually take a book with me to read on the park bench.....so I alternate between walking, observing, sitting/reading...and I do stretching along the way too.

it is odd because I can do similar physical exertion in shopping but I won't see a same result as when I walk at the parks. perhaps the mind is more engaged, like mindfulness, when walking at the park, and there is a mind/body connection. And perhaps the vibration of nature stimulates the system better than inside the stores.

also being in water is good when we can; it seems to feel restorative.

well, we can't avoid the limitations of age and decline, we just try to manage it as best we can and each person will experience the effects of aging differently.

Im also taking apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, alkaline water, tea of matcha blended with termuric, and a spoonful of baking soda dissolved in warm water once a day. Basically a more alkaline diet, more fruits and vegetables ala Tom Brady and the Gracie diet I think.

Usually about a tablespoon is good. Try to leave it under your toungue for a little bit to help it absorb. It works as well as over the counter pain medicine for me. I quit taking the Advil and Tylenol.
