The Next War
Lots of scuttlebutt about where we turn our attention to next and I'm curious what you fellas think. John Bolton and the neocons are currently gunning for Turkey but that seems overly ambitious to me. I'm think they'll be looking for a quick victory somewhere to restore prestige.

I think eventually we're going to go full-blown Corn Pop on iran.

I wish I had included an option for a domestic war against white conservatives. They have already been identified by General Milley as the greatest threat currently.

Iran is a very tough opponent Pilgrim. A big country with lots of resources that has just joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization which places it squarely in the Russia/China camp.

Iran definitely would be a serious opponent. Turkey doesn't make sense to me since they are a member of NATO.

what are the chances things settle down and there are no more new wars for a while?

RE: The Next War
Over in Old Blighty Tony Blair has slithered out from under his rock to berate Biden in a newspaper editorial for ending what he seems to consider a really fun war. The British House of Commons seems to be habituated to these wars and is incensed by the the pull out. They won't stop bitching about this unless and until Biden gives them a new war. The British media is really pulling out all the stops on this.

I can't quote your posts for some reason Pilgrim but to answer your question I think it's only possible if realists somehow can make themselves heard inside the swamp which hasn't happened since the rise of Clinton and Blair and this whole mentality. The new China/Russia Eurasian alliance is overtaking the West at breakneck speed but so far the reaction from the Biden administration has been pathetic. Wang Yi has used Blinken as a pinata on two occasions already and Kamala's recent trip to Singapore and Vietnam was an unmitigated disaster. These people don't seem to be up to the challenges of the day.

Looks like Iran is trying to stir the pot already.

Yeah a civil war against white conservatives and Christians. It's already been going on for a while in some ways and General Norman Milley, the woke general, has identified white American Christians as the greatest threat currently. It occurred to me too Rezin, but too late Smile

That's right in the heart of America's oil theft operation. A bold strike.

By the way i selected Syria. I'm thinking a massive genocide with millions of dead Syrians dying mostly from the US engineered famine. The Brits will be dancing on tabletops...

RE: The Next War
Out of that list, I chose Syria.

Obama wanted to remove Assad, and he funded the terror groups in Syria to bring down the Government, and even Trump used Syria to bomb when he wanted to display some force. It seems to be a go to country when the USA needs to blow up some shit and kill some people.

Obama loves Iran and even gave them suitcases full of cash, so I doubt that he'll allow Biden to go to war with them.

No one is going to liberate China or Russia, if anything it will be China doing the liberating of the USA. Although we could see China getting tougher on Taiwan.

Apparently Venezuela is proof that Socialalism works, so I doubt we will see a Democrat admin going after them.

No one gives a fuck about African countries unless they have something valuable to steal. I doubt that they'll go after Nigeria or Ethiopia unless it's for political reasons. Do those countries even have real armies?

I suspect Damascus will be destroyed eventually. There's actually biblical passages that refer to the burden of Damascus.

RE: The Next War
Syria is the favored whipping boy currently but that could change if Russia makes it even more of a priority than it is now, and they're more entrenched there than they were before the war began.

An interesting rumor has it that Putin has asked the new Israeli prime minister to stop bombing Syria which is something new under the sun if true.
