Good call. With that style, it just becomes a matter of timing; who launches their missile at the right moment. Nelson, Hunt, Ngannou, Lewis. It's all the same dynamic.

Jones' dominance was due to having a huge reach advantage and unorthodox kicks to peck from a distance, and enough wrestling and explosiveness to punish anyone who managed to close the distance.

A contest of who throws the first well-timed overhand or big hook is not one I think he can win.

Jones vs Addesanya would be much more interesting IMO. Addessanya gives up a little size but so what. They're both reachy, adaptive and blew through their respective divisions.

^good analysis and agreed. Even if he manages to win one or two fights at HW his chin is gonna crack. Part of the reason he stayed undefeated at 205 is he never got hit. Barring the Gustafson fight he accumulated very little mileage.

Yeah his move to HW is about 8 years too late. When Cain Werdum and JDS were still around in their primes it would've been interesting. Now there's nobody left to fight, getting caught in N'Gannou's overhand right or outwrestling him doesn't prove anything. Addesanya is really the only interesting match up left for Jones at this point, because he's the only guy with potential to be better than Jones.
