i've been jumping ropes a long time as warm up routine. its a very good exercise for establishing ryhtm, flexibility, agility and explosiveness.

If you do it right, the muscles in your legs, cavs, ankles etc. will carry the weight instead of your joints etc. They will only grow stronger the more you ropejump

I I teach my kids to jumpropes to keep them in shape and learn to know about their body and muscles

If you start ropejumping as an adult it's best to start on a gym mat or something like that. WHen you gathered enough experience and strenght you can do i anywhere

RE: JumpRope versus PELOTON$
yeah it's healthy, but I think with the peloton it's stress free on your joints

whereas with jump rope there is some manual stress due to repeated compression motion

probably better for the joints than lifting HEAVY Weights which results in increase MASS both of which(HEAVY weights and increase in MASS) can cause joint issues.

jumping rope is similar to running where it keeps one lighter and moving that body in a more natural way that it was designed for. We were designed to walk/run/jump/climb.

most modern humans spend their day in a sitting position. Peloton as a fitness method is simply an extension of that sitting condition. People need to STAND UP and USE IT or LOSE IT Big Grin
