I guess I am rather unusual as I can find some humor and positive attitude in the whole thing. The Japanese are a very conforming people and it gives me a chuckle seeing my expectation manifest in the GF obsessing over it. They LOVE the MASK. Last night I helped the sister and her offspring with their schoolwork which was naturally about wearing a MASK on the train.

I don't wear a MASK when strolling outdoors but have no problem putting on the MASK for a few minutes when going into a store, it's not a huge inconvenience.

and NO I do not believe this to be some REVELATIONS End of Days, just another mark on the TIMELINE of Humanity.

I just believe in cycles combined with change, evolution. There are cycles and there will be similarities but each cycle will not be exactly the same as before as evolution will alter the factors/conditions of each cycle. It's not END of DAYS just cycle/evolution playing out.

Many churches have kept going. You just don't hear about them.

This truly is the time to turn to Christ. He is the light people need. I have him in my heart and I am totally content and don't feel any of the pandemic gloom. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.". That is true in my life.

Isaiah 60.

1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Agreed completely. I need Jesus, not church.

I feel no pandemic gloom either. Actually had some neighbors over for dinner the other day (who I knew slightly better than casually) and they were woke conservatives too! Amazing how much you have to get people to let their guard down before they will reveal that about themselves, these days.

Do these people realize they are enforcing dystopia?

The psychology, as with the mask Karens, as far as I understand it is:
I will tattle on others, so that I will get a free pass myself.

This explains white people that call other white people racist, as well.

All about that free pass.

since they are naturally conforming the majority will follow the social expectation so "forced" lockdown was unnecessary. The GF being a regular consumer of mainstream media has related to me how the Japanese restaurant industry is really hurting from the pandemic, if I heard/remember correctly

Im not sure if someone “ratted” me out or if they monitor what key fobs unlock the poll area digitally. Both scenarios are dystopic enough.

A Karen at my work called HR over a few friends eating lunch together with no masks. HR went batshit sending out memos (threats) to everyone the next day. I am over it all. We simply do not deserve the world our forefathers have given us.

Who came up with this idea of putting HR departments in charge?
