that's horrible

with war there is always the sad attitude "casualties of war" where "acceptable losses" and other inhumanities are ok so long as 'the cause' remains the focus

this is why i believe MLK, GANDHI, Muhammad Ali, are the MOST POWERFUL form of protest. No they were not perfect men but they promoted the best way to resist and protest for change.

the cause is easily defeated when the supporters resort to their own uncivilized behavior making them no better than those they are protesting against

I didn't watch the whole video. very sad.

The Yellow Vests in France protested peacefully every weekend for over a year, and didn't get their demands met.

HK protests went on months peacefully, and they got at best a temporary reprieve in terms of what they were asking for.

These protests included arson, rioting and looting, and every major corporation in the country got on board, politicians are bending over backwards to give them what they want, including entertaining the idea of 'defunding the police', which is just a way to get rid of every existing officer in the service (I refuse to call it the 'police force') and replace them with loyal leftist foot soldiers.

So yeah, peaceful protest might be the IDEAL form of protest, but don't call it the 'best'.

it depends the commitment. Just "tying some ribbons" or wearing a rubber bracelet is probably not really going to have much impact......but people getting on buses to go do mass gatherings of PEACEFUL demonstrations in front of the WhiteHouse and urban City Government Offices across the Country will probably get people's attention
