RE: Mike Tyson shows off speed in training video ahead of comeback fight
I'm getting the feeling that this is leading to a third fight with Evander Holyfield.

It could be a limited rounds fight, and it could be classed as an exhibition, but it will no doubt generate millions of dollars if they do it on PPV.

Cordeiro has named Holyfield as someone that people would like to see Tyson fight, and Holyfield has come out and said that he's ready and willing to go.

Foreman did that by adapting the cross guard in his comeback, an ugly style but it worked very well for him. Archie Moore was his coach, and that guy also fought quite successfully until he was almost 60.

If 53 year old Tyson tries to fight like 25 year old Tyson then it won't work out well for him.

the Not-so-Gentle Giant George Foreman was perfectly designed for Old Man Boxing! He had a raw natural Act-of-God Given Power which did not rely on explosive energy/stamina sucking athletic attributes conducive to youth and an impeccably deceptive control of timing and economy of motion as can be witnessed in this well-done video study:

he seems to be in good shape.

I think he could do well against some top 20 HWs
HW is a very shallow division as well

this statement deserves discussion. Many people say we are more unhealthy due to our dietary habits yet we are also living longer and so how is it that men are able to maintain more vigor and vitality for longer?

^ he's not that much slower now.. from that one vid.

whether or not he could keep up that speed for more than a round remains to be seen

^yeah, his speed/power was certainly very impressive in the recent videos but the effects of aging were evident if we compare the recent videos to the one I posted above

maybe a TRT Tyson could defy age?

if Mike Tyson happened to be reading this I wonder if he would remember a favorite tan/brownish colour leather punching bag he enjoyed using at the Olympic Training?

I used to train on that bag.......of course I could never hit it so hard as Mike Tyson but the idea of him punching the same bag was quite an inspiration to a young fellowBig Grin

I think it's a given that Tyson is now on TRT.

I'm just trying to figure this shit out like you are.

is TRT why some of the current generation of elderly gentleman are looking so good compared to other generations of elderly folks?

and is there any negative impact to TRT?

RE: Mike Tyson shows off speed in training video ahead of comeback fight
it's not all TRT

the upper class people these days have access to better supplements, more advanced healthcare etc.

also the attitude of older folks is younger compared to generations past.

Mike Tyson does not seem like an old geezer.
