Fedor vs CroCop, detailed analysis
This guy on youtube does some brilliant breakdowns of fights, mostly boxing but some MMA. I've been binge watching his stuff and his work on the most epic boxing match-ups of all time is nothing short of brilliant.
In this video, he breaks down Fedor vs CroCop and how Fedor's strategy nullified CroCop's offense and his most effective weapons. The video also covers a couple of boxing matches, but the Fedor-CroCop part begins at 6:05 I'm just trying to figure this shit out like you are. |

Very interesting observation on how Fedor was blocking low, middle and high kicks all at once. So he didn't have to bother guessing what was coming next and risk getting tricked.

Fedor Crocop was an amazing fight
thanks to the video, I could tell that Fedor's low kick did some serious damage to Crocop |

RE: Fedor vs CroCop, detailed analysis
I thought the observation on Fedor's blocking of any potential kick from that side was very astute, I'd never noticed such science to it at the time.
The youtube guy does the same with many boxing matches, guys that you thought were just crazy brawlers, used some brilliant tactics to take their opponent out of his game plan. I recall Fedor's low kick hurting CroCop but I didn't notice the damage it did to his ankle. |

at the time I was underwhelmed because was there no Ipoon or clear result
but now with the UFC shitfest fights.. I can see the art in this one and how awesome it was to have two of the best HWs bar none at the time fight. and FEdor is still relevant even today |

There are a few other Pride fights that I re-watch once in a while, but I never re-watch a UFC fight years later. Although I do enjoy watching an early (Pre-Zuffa) UFC Tournament from start to finish if I find a clear copy online. I'm just trying to figure this shit out like you are. |

SEG UFC was good I agree
ZUFFA UFC just sucks plain and simple. the entire presentation is shit. Fedor Crocop is one of the classics Wand Rampage series the entire SAK run up until Wand 2 are all classics Pride had many classics too many too count Gomi's run to me was also classic as I still consider him the best LW ever prime for prime. |
