Wilder vs. fury happening RIGHT NOW
I am not buying the Mayweather vid. Fightgloves are usually 10 or 12 oz’s instead of the 16 they use in the vid. Big difference

Hitting someone with a fist with no patting causes much more injury then with a glove

Fact still remains that fury had typical way of punching in the fight and his gloves moved funny, which would be benificial for him if he had cheated with the gloves and try to hit Wilder with his bare fist

I like(d) Fury a lot but he is still a gipsy and they make there own rules. I am not surprised he would do something like this

Hitting this way is like getting hit with a brick in the face or getting hit with a brick with some cushioning to it. HUGE difference

Both hurt the bare fist will cause the most damage. Let alone the shock value for wilder asking himself why these punches come so hard..

Fury cheated. You shouldn’t see his knuckles coming true the wrist part. Period

his gloves did look funny but maybe Fury is just clumsy with that

there is no advantage of using your fist in that manner and doing pancrase style strikes

you lose a lot of force

Fightweight gloves and your fist at the wrist..

HUGE DIFFERENCE IN KINETIC ENERGY TRANSFER

If Fury trained to throw his punches to hit with his knuckles he is just as effective as he would in a normal set up

If I am boxing someone and I would like to hurt him I would throw a hook hitting with the inside of my palm/glove/wrist I.e. least patted part to really hurt him

You can punch hard with the glove normal and knock someone out

But if You want to hurt them bad this is the way

Wilder looked ineffectual in that fight...perhaps he took the fight lightly and didn't train to his fullest???!!!

Did he beat Wilder by punching him, or by using some weapon, a gun, a club, a knife, etc?

They are boxers. He got beat up. Wouldn't having his gloves too high on his hands have made his body shots and jabs ineffectual? And yet he still did a lot of damage with them in the fight.

He was just better than Wilder. A lot better. Was there some funny business? Maybe. But not plaster on his hand wraps or brass knucks in his gloves-level funny business.

RE: Wilder vs. fury happening RIGHT NOW
If loosening up gloves was such an effective cheat you'd think there would be countless other examples over the course of 150+ years of boxing. And boxing refs would be prepared to spot the cheaters. I've been watching boxing since the Mike Tyson days and never even heard of that or seen anyone attempt it.

The other thing is fighters don't really benefit from punching bare fisted. If you go back and watch the early days of NHB, guys like Wandy and Igor really weren't scoring a lot of clean KOs until the 4oz gloves were implemented. Nobody was willing fully commit to head shots in the bare knuckle days.

This is how you hype a 3rd fight, after a complete demolition in the 2nd fight.

Maybe less dangerous indeed. It's a risc / reward tactic i guess. But to not neglect the fact that there was a fist visible where his wrist should be i guess he took the risc.

And giving somebody a body shot, slightly extended to hit him with the fist still hurts..
