Muay Thai vs Taekwondo Streetfight

KTFO!

That said.. the taekwondoka obviously had wayyyyyy less experience than the Muay Thai guy

Muay Thai will always be hard to beat, not unbeatable but you have to be really sure about your skills when fighting a Muay Thai fighter

Ask for the blue pill. The rabbit hole isn't that nice

RE: Muay Thai vs Taekwondo Streetfight
wow that KO was brutal

a real MT guy would have ended it much sooner

seems like both were not that high level

also they are very dumb to be fighting on CONCRETE like that. at least fight on the sand, grass or a mat

that KO could have killed the guy if he hit his head on the crete

The fighting on concrete is just dumb indeed. But the fight when't according to plan for the MT guy. you don't wanna walk in unexpected spinning shit from that TKD guy. He kicks easily so maintaining some distance but keeping pressure is the right approach. And i guess the MT guy knew he had this guy quite fast. The only thing i would have done differently is taking his abillity and spirit to kick away by giving him some more lowkicks but on the other hand, someone who only kicks and has no guard by his face.. EVERY fighter will know it's just a matter of time before he will get knocked out

If the TKD guy would take some boxing classes the fight could end on a different note

Never underestimate a well trained TKD guy with boxing skills

RE: Muay Thai vs Taekwondo Streetfight
Was thinking about this the other day. The only karate guy I can ever remember doing well in MMA is Cung Le.

Lyoto Machida and Ryan Hall kind of use it but it only works because nobody has any interest in going to the ground with them.

It helps them strike while keeping out of a boxer/Thai boxer's range.

But as soon as a Thai boxer is able to get in his range, you don't want to be using karate. It's time to immediately close the distance or get knocked out.

Taekwando is good for kids but it's shocking to me that grown men still exist that learn it for real life self defense.

Real fighting is brutal. You have to stay on balance and facing your opponent.

As soon as you start spinning and doing all this other nonsense, you lose your ability to control and manage the distance between you and your opponent.

The result of not managing and controlled the distance is almost always a brutal KO.
