Another great cover and song I've never heard before. I'm not generally a fan of ridiculously long songs or solos, or songs with changes in tempo (one of the reasons I get so frustrated with a lot of heavy metal; so often a song will have a great riff and they'll go and ruin it by completely changing the tempo which jars me out of the mood of the song).

This song commits all 3 'sins' but it's really well done. It's not a 'hey, look how good I can shred solo', it really fits the mood of the song, and rather than ruin the song, the changes in tempo actually enhance it making the length more bearable. Fantastic guitar work and it's great to hear Ozzie sounding so lucid.

Sometimes, it's easy to forget how talented some of these artists were in their prime, especially when they hang around too long. Kind of like athletes.

RE: Great Covers & Remixes
A lot of people don't realize that Aerosmith's Walk This Way and AC/DC's Back In Black are as much (great) early rap songs as they are (great) hard rock songs.

AC/DC - Back In Black

Missy Elliot - Get Ur Freak On (AC/DC Remix)

IMO, the fact that "rock 'n rap" didn't become a very popular genre is proof that music, and especially rap "music" is subverted. Most rap is devoid of actual music and great rock, for the most part, is all about great riffs so rap and rock go together like meat and potatoes.

Musically, it's a truly great loss for the world, especially considering how horrifically bad rap has become.

Is "Motherless Child" the most covered song in history? I honestly don't know but there are a ton of them by different artists in different genres.

GNR version, BETTER

Yeah, the GNR version is much better. That first 15 seconds, the guitar sounds so sweet.

The first video is also a cover, by John C Cale. IMO, it's also better than Dylan's.

I like this version too.

This remix takes me back to The Comfort Zone, infamous after-hours club in Toronto in the early 2000s.
