Partial third nerve palsy after Measles Mumps Rubella vaccination
Partial third nerve palsy after Measles Mumps Rubella vaccination

Abstract
Background
Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) vaccination is known to cause some serious adverse events, such as fever, rash, gland inflammation and neurologic disorders. These include third and sixth cranial nerve palsies.

Results
The case reported describes a partial recurrent oculomotor palsy associated with systemic symptoms following MMR vaccination in a healthy young child. The oculomotor palsy did not recover completely during the follow-up.

Conclusions
Most of the times, measles, mumps and rubella cause mild illness and discomfort; but can also have serious or fatal sequelae. MMR vaccination has been proved to be safe and to reduce significantly the number of reported infections due to these viruses. However, significant adverse events can occur and paediatricians and public health operators should be aware of this aspect.

Sir,

Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) vaccination is known to cause some serious adverse events. These can include fever, rash, gland inflammation and neurologic disorders like epilepsy, encephalitis, aseptic meningitis and autistic disorders [1,2].

The case reported below describes a partial recurrent oculomotor palsy following MMR vaccination in a healthy young child.

Go to:
Case Report
A 20-month-old Italian boy received a MMR (MMR VAX PRO) vaccine dose according to the normal vaccination schedule. Twenty days later he presented fever and cutaneous rash, which resolved spontaneously in one day, and left eye (LE) eso-hypotropia, which also lasted 24-48 hrs until complete self-recovery. This episode recurred 20 days later: the ophthalmological examination showed a deficit of elevation in adduction of the LE and was diagnosed as "acquired palsy of the inferior oblique muscle" [Fig. ‚Äč[Fig.1].1]. The remaining neurologic examination was normal. EEG, brain MRI with and without gadolinium, blood count, blood chemistry were normal. Serum titres against main viral agents (Citomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr, Herpes Simplex, Varicella Zoster, Papovavirus B19, Influenza, Parainfluenza, Respiratory Syncytial) were negative, except for a positive IgG titre for Rubella virus. A week later the symptoms partially disappeared without any treatment. The following scheduled neurological controls continued to be normal, while the orthoptic examination showed persisting, but inconstant, weakening of LE inferior oblique muscle function. At the last control, when the child was 5 years old, visual acuity and stereopsis tests were normal, but a mild deficit of the inferior oblique muscle function persisted, with orthophoria in primary position.

Have you seen the vitriol of hate that is expressed on Imgur and other sites that post anti vaxxer memes? They want anti vaxxers killed. No questions asked. All because someone might get measles. No mention of the large fund the govt keeps to pay off lawsuits.

Yeah, I think people straight up want to be willfully ignorant when it comes to vaccinations. No one wants to admit they are taking a risk when it comes to vaccinating their kids. That way when things go wrong they play ignorant, if your kid does have a adverse reaction, you don't have to admit it was because of something you've done and that you've given a life long injury to your own child and so they hate on anyone that points out such a risk

This is the part I have never understood.

Say you get vaccinated.

Say another person doesn't get vaccinated.

They get the disease they weren't vaccinated against. Why are you upset? If the disease now spreads to you... Ummm... Shouldn't you be upset that vaccination was ineffective?

They throw the term "Herd immunity" around like we are cattle and they all have babies that are too young and sick to get vaccinated as well as elderly parents that can't get them so you're killing them apparently.

If you ask why they care about non vaccinated kids they tell you they want you in prison and on an island with the measles people like a leper colony.

Check Imgur. It's really bad. I think they think we cured these diseases except for a few "weirdos" who don't quite trust the govt and have read the warnings which are on the packages for the vaccines.

I think the "outbreaks" are false flags or psyops to force the issue like school shootings.

You can see in the NBC scare mongering video above, NBC actually took a stock internet photo of a perfectly healthy baby and gave it the measles for their news segment.

It's also questionable whether the lady being paid in the above segment is a real nurse.

She doesn't even know the difference between ingesting something into your stomach and having it injected into your bloodstream.

Button #1: Anti-vaxxers should be forcefully vaccinated
Button #2: Women should be allowed to abort their baby whenever they want. My body, my choice!

Choose one!

This episode of 'The Brady Bunch' has been causing a lot of backlash.

In 1969, nobody was afraid of getting the measles.

Now it's known as a deadly killer.

RE: Partial third nerve palsy after Measles Mumps Rubella vaccination
To give relevant facts, prior to vaccination nearly everybody contracted the measles at some point during their lives.

Hence, making the measles rate per year the same as the birth rate(4 million).

The chances of dying from the measles 1 in 10,000.

On the other hand, adverse reported side effects from the vaccine include febrile seizures, arthritis, meningitis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, autism, diabetes mellitus, optic neuritis, transverse myelitis, and a few more.

As of Novermber 30, 2018, there had been 93,179 reports of measles vaccine reactions, hospitalization, injuries, and deaths.

Over 50% of these reactions reported in children 3 years of age or younger.

One such case was awarded 101 million dollars to cover the families medical expenses for the rest of their lives.

But those who do not want the vaccination are being considered a 'threat to society'. People online even calling them 'anti-science' and saying non-vaxxers should be taken somewhere and murdered.

Is this really what society has come to?

Just my opinion, but I would rather people still have the choice.

If my children are immunized, then it's not a threat to them. They are protected.

This is America, these other people have the right to believe what they believe. And there is some evidence, however sparse, to support their opinions.

The problem today is the very few people can be objective and reasonable.

I don't see the people opposed to getting this vaccine as being much of a threat.
