BTC really seems like the most stable investment.

Everything in general is very overvalued, so if there is a stock market crash, bond sell-off, currency market madness (so far USD has been strong but that too will pass, IMO) then everything will take a hit, even gold and silver that have been hammered for a few years now (although they will be down less, and will recover first, if that happens, again IMO).

So I think we can see cryptos continue to decline through the end of 2018.

If I see gold and silver go down more I will look at a few mining companies and maybe bullion as well. Ask me again in 6 weeks! Big Grin

I'm down $500 from this whole experiment. Could be a lot worse.

Is Shah still around or did he go harikari already?

I'm probably down around 30% but am tempted to DCA at the moment. It's hard to imagine it going much lower.

Not sure what happened to Shah, maybe he's on a yacht somewhere, Jordan Belfort style.

it's now the end of Summer and ETH has crashed, he claimed it was going to triple from the march 2018 price

LOL

arrogance + ignorance is the most lethal combo

You don't agree it's going to collapse eventually? For most people crypto is like investing in the stock market. when they finally realize they can't double or triple their investments, there will be no reason to hold onto it.

All the hype is gone. It will trade sideways for God only knows how long. The increases these days are 2-3% but the crashes are still 15% in the space of a day, when the whales decide to take profits.

RE: The Great Crypto Crash
I think the crypto space is going to change entirely, just like the internet did, leaving behind the Netscapes and pets.com and AOLs (or in this case Bitcoin).

The one I have read a bit about is Hedera Hashgraph. Apparently it sacrifices some security for a lot of speed. And it isn't mined like Bitcoin, so it doesn't have the same energy requirements of Bitcoin.

But it is already owned by large institutions and institutional investors, so probably it won't be available to the public until the 'fast, easy' gains in value are behind it, just like all stock IPOs these days.

RE: The Great Crypto Crash
crypto will allow FULL CONTROL over all aspects of everyone's life. every transaction, everything you buy will be recorded into a ledger and will be used for tax compliance as well as psychological and market profiling

they will use this data to better manipulate and control you

just like the internet was supposed to make us FREE... but it only made it worse

i remember when epople were like THE INTERNET IS GOING TO FREE HUMANITY

we are now more controlled than EVEN IN THE DAYS OF KINGS AND EMPERORS due to technology

before if you were persecuted or an enemy of the state you could skip town and they could never find you. now there is a worldwide CONTROL GRID with facial recognition to make sure you ain't goin NOWHERE

NO WAY OUT HOS!
