Russian ingenuity is completely underrated due to terrible portrayals of dumb russians in 80s movies

The fact is that the Americans tried to reverse engineer the Soviet rockets they currently use to get to space and failed despite having the complete rocket engines because Russian metallurgy is better and a mystery to the US.

Russian ingenuity has always been underrated both now and throughout the centuries. As the joke (that I just made up) goes "Russians invented it, the West patented it". The very long winters with nothing to do probably helped a lot with that inventiveness.

The Americans got 90% of the Nazi rocket program (including blue prints and scientists) the Soviets got 10%. And compare what they could accomplish with what they got.

This has to do with the way American and Russian societies are set up. America constantly has to import it's talent from the rest of the world. Everything from scientist and engineers to actors and directors. Once the imports are depleted, it has to import more because it struggles to create such people.

I'm making generalizations for such a big country but exceptions are called exceptions because they are exceptions.

In Russia and China, talented children are identified early and streamlined.

In America, and the West in general, it all comes down to how many boxes you tick. Sexual orientation, minority ethnicity, live in a ghetto, only if you can check the boxes, then are your talents, potential and abilities impressive.

Otherwise it is just 'white privilege' and you have to be held down, for the 'good' of everyone else.

"I see the Moon"
"IS IT REAL???"
"I don't know, David"
"Is it coming?"
"I can't tell yet."
"Lets not walk this way"

So the character is afraid of the Moon. Hmmm... Of course AI was a KUBRICK property, before he died. And 'asked Spielberg to take over'. LOL, yeah right.

I have only two questions.

When will America 'go back', and when will someone other than NASA go for the first time!

As soon as the Playtex bra people release the documents on their super-secret radiation-proof fabric technology from the late 60s. Best kept secret on Earth. Playtex. The Best a Bra Can Get.

And don't forget the core rope memory!

What a hot tech that was!

Seems legit.

Plus they had a guy do an hour long presentation about it, a few years ago. We all know that if something works in theory, that means it works in fact, as well!

How does the saying go?

"In theory, there is no difference between practice and theory. In practice, there is."

You definitely couldn't just mix cement powder with mineral oil and take THAT photo in a studio. Nope. Definitely not.

Chaos,

I've never really argued for or against the moon landing. I think both sides make some good points.

I did watch a Myth Busters episode about the moon landing and they said it was real and argued some of the points. They touched on the foot prints and why they were like that. I don't remember what they said about it now. Like I said, it's not that important to me.

I live in Central Florida and watched many Apollo and Challenger rockets burning upward through the skies in my life time. It was always a beautiful sight in the sky.

My take on the whole moon landing really comes down to this; whether true or not it really doesn't effect my day to day life. It's not as important to me. Some may argue that we should get the truth and prove the government was lying. I already believe our government lies. That was hit home to me in a solid way during the Iraq War fiasco.

It seems to be important to you and I appreciate your passion.

It is important as a sort of benchmark of government lying. It is a BIG ONE in that regard.

The main reason I care is because I think seeing a man on the Moon would be pretty fantastic, but the Apollo hoax stands in the way. We don't try to achieve it because we think we have 'been there, done that'.

Honestly, the JFK assassination is one that the public should demand to get to the bottom of. But a really good job has been done muddying the waters, so much so that people are content to just list the dozen or so theories, rather than try to ascertain the truth.

There is so much of that now that even recognizing they are lying isn't going to make a difference. More and more people are learning that fallen man's control of government has lead to a corrupt system that misleads people. That's where satan operates. Lying to keep people in the dark.

I think there's more to it than that. I think our space program stayed vibrant after Apollo but the goals were different. Since Apollo so many launches were high money ventures to deploy satellites into space. They are used for communications, monitoring, weapons control. Our modern military could not function without satellite guidance systems.

Instead of going to the moon and collecting rocks. We have spent the money to deploy a network into space. Some of it funded by private business that wanted satellites in space for their own use.

That's my 2 cents on things.
