Owen Benjamin just mentioned this one.

LOL

https://phys.org/news/2019-01-moon-recov...earth.html

Moon rock recovered by astronauts likely originated on Earth

HuhHuhHuh

""However, a simpler explanation is that this piece was formed on the Earth and brought to the surface of the moon as a meteorite generated by an asteroid hitting Earth about four billion years ago, and throwing material into space and to the moon."

GODDAMN, I mean, can you believe these guys!

EXCELLENT FIND:

In findings published overnight in science journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters, a sample collected during the 1971 Apollo 14 lunar mission was found to contain traces of minerals with a chemical composition common to Earth and very unusual for the moon.

the explanations are getting more ludicrous

who remembers NEIL ARMSTRONG handing petrified WOOD as a genuine moon rock to EUROPEAN ROYALTY?

It would be easier to go, than to fake it. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

No, for real, I have heard that used as an argument for why it is real!

RE: July 21, 1969: Man walks on the Moon for the 1st time?
The new documentary was literally produced by CNN, LOL.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNN_Films

None of the new footage is actual footage from the Moon's surface.

"The collection consists of approximately 165 source reels of materials, covering Apollo 8 through Apollo 13," Rooney wrote. "Thus far, we have definitively identified 61 of those 165 that relate directly to the Apollo 11 mission, including astronaut mission preparations, launch, recovery, and astronaut engagement and tours after the mission."

Just a reminder, Apollo 8 didn't land men on the Moon, nor did 9 or 10, Apollo 11 did, allegedly, on 12 the camera failed in the first MINUTE OR TWO, because supposedly they pointed it directly at the Sun, causing it to fail, and of course, Apollo 13 didn't land any one on the Moon either!

RE: July 21, 1969: Man walks on the Moon for the 1st time?
i mean it's been 50 years or more since they first sent robots up there

and we are still getting the same type of pics

i would expect a live cam at least at this point

China is not 50 years behind the US in tech

in fact Chinese 5G beast tech is more advanced than US 5G

so I really don't get it

RE: July 21, 1969: Man walks on the Moon for the 1st time?
"As is the case with many of China's space missions, the details of the spacecraft and the mission have been limited."

Whereas NASA just made shit up, and occasionally kept secrets, afterwards just telling the public the 'correct' answer (such as what trajectory they flew, to get through the Van Allen belts), China is following the Soviet "don't tell em shit, and they can't call you a liar" model.
