Your Dream Life?
am I wrong for this?

sometimes I want to be like that movie "the Rum Diary" and disappear to some tropical place to live the "ex-Pat" life of a moderately constant state of inebriation and with the occasional episode of a lapse in discipline resulting in a following day's swearing off ever again over-indulging........

didn't Sean Connery do something like this?

the expat lifestyle is lonely and it gets old after awhile

the dream life is doing what you love for a living and having free time on top of that.

maybe everything gets old after awhile. It seems could be fun. If it got old then I would have the security to return to since I have lived responsibly Big Grin

RE: Your Dream Life?
living as an expat is fun if you're in a major metropolitan world city.. tokyo, seoul, beijing, london etc.

You get to experience the world within a single city due to all the diff. types of people that go through.

but going to less developed country with an idea to "live large relative to the locals" is prob not a good idea

RE: Your Dream Life?
My dream life is living in a post-apocalyptic world where the governments of the world have collapsed and people live in semi-nomadic tribal confederacies. In lieu of that I'll take living in an off-grid home with no close neighbors.

What's gonna happen to the 450 nuclear reactors with no power grid, and no one to maintain the pools for cooling spent fuel rods?
