Akira, Ghost in the Shell 1, Memories, Jin-Roh Wolf Brigade, Whisper of the Heart

Jin Roh is probably the best for me out of all of these though

In terms of visual style I like Akira

Whisper of the heart I like out of the more sappy sentimental animes

if you combine hollywood technical prowess with Japanese visual sense they could make the best live action movies ever.
