Sure. When an organization becomes extremely large the waste it produces multiplies, especially with labor costs and equipment and stuff.

But profit incentive is like a negative feedback loop that curbs the waste somewhat. Someone identifies a source of overspending and can turn that into revenue.

To think that UBI turning the whole society into Welfare recipients is going to help people rebel against the system is equally unlikely.

These middle-America Truck drivers are going to need more than just food and shelter. They need PURPOSE. They need STRUGGLE. They need WORK.

I also agree with this.. that is why THE UBI NEEDS TO BE SMALL. say 1000 a month. it gives you enough to pay for some basics but you still need to work a part time job or do something on the side.

you could get paid for doing poetry readings. you could get paid walking people's dogs on the side. you could just do tons of random shit without actually being tied down to a job

on the other hand if you want to pursue a new career or do a new startup, you would have some basic INCOME to help you succeed towards your goal

this system is inevitable BUT the key is how it will be implemented.

RE: the explosion of bullshit jobs / universal basic income discussion
what struggle is there for someone to work a job he knows is pointless?

Is a WEST COAST STRATEGIC COORDINATOR a USEFUL JOB?

it's not about not working at all.. it's basically either a reduction of working hours with similar pay or UBI.. or some combination of both.

the tech progress is so amazing at this point, yet we are working more hours and harder than even HUNTER AND GATHERERS WHO LIVED IN CAVES AND USED ANIMAL SKINS AS BLANKETS.

we are PAYING MORE TAXES THAN THE DAYS OF KINGS AND QUEENS. we are more DRUGGED UP AND DEPRESSED. something needs to change.

Food and housing should be covered 100%. Once construction and farming become completely automated there's no reason not to. Then you could earn extra credits by doing volunteer work, like working in a cat shelter or something. Or you could work on your farm or vegetable garden and use food credit to buy entertainment. no matter how unskilled there should always be ways for someone to earn money besides UBI.

Spencer and Anglin both are in favor of UBI. Hitler was in favor of some freedom of market, his anticapitalism was more about not letting foreign bankers take control of his central bank and economy.

Nevermind that humans are not supposed to live on concrete. Your BARE FEET should TOUCH THE EARTH every day. Living in a city surrounded by all different radio waves amd frequencies, shit it is a wonder we can even function.

I think this is the reason for so much mental illness. Living and working like this.

The Native Americans had it right, that is why they had to be wiped out. They were the REAL ANTI NWO

Men tend to paint themselves in a better light when they're about to die; and Texas ground is filled with fools who thought they were quicker

The rat race is what slavery evolved into.

When they set the slaves free they allowed them to earn just enough money to pay for the things that they got for free as slaves. And now they even have to pay for the privilege of travelling to the cotton field each day, buy their own lunch, be symbolically whipped by a superior, and then pay to travel home so they can do it all again tomorrow.

Even most of the corporate executives are simply the modern day house black. They get a few more benefits, and are more comfortable than the field black, but they are just as much slaves.

I'm just trying to figure this shit out like you are.

The biggest problem with the free market is that we don't have one. We live in a world where governments provide subsidies, guaranteed loans, targeted tax breaks, bailouts, cherry contracts, and competition killing regulation to politically connected corporations. Furthermore nearly every country in the world has given monopoly powers to private and unaccountable banking cartels, in the form of central banks. Governments even use eminent domain laws to force individuals to sell their land to corporations even though that was never the intent of such laws.

Bro there are like Fire-Ants and shit out here.

I used to jog barefoot around SoCal suburbia at couple nights a week. There were always these huge waterbeetles on the sidewalk, but they were easy to dodge.

Now I'm not sure what's out there. I'm already covered in Bug Bites.
Warm welcome to Texas I guess.

Last month it sounded like a Rainforest outside all day and night. Cicada's?

you need regulation for large entities, similar to how a big dog needs to be controlled but a yappy aggressive little dog can get away with more.

Regulation for the rich, free market for the plebs. this evens up the playing field.

a true free market would just be a gangster cartel. the top companies would collude and just corner the market for every sector. You actually do need strong government to prevent this from happening.

Last year I was averaging 20-25 hours a week. 4/5 hours in the morning and then I had the rest of the day to do my thing, read, workout, date, work on my personal app projects. I was happy then. That's how it should be. Now I'm back to full time and damn where did time go? It's already almost October. Did almost nothing memorable all year. 40 hour week is the reason adult life sucks, time just flies by.

40 hrs still a light workload relative to a so called proper career. bankers typically do 60-80 hrs a week
