not even interested. Lesnar would get whooped very easily.

RE: Jon Jones vs Brock Lesnar NYE
I believe jbj lacks the striking power to send lesnar into saturday night fever mode. He wont be able to keep Lesnar away from him using front kicks like he does to undersized LHWs either. Brock will get the clinch and take him down. Brock even took Cain down. Weve never seen JBJ playing guard before, maybe he can weather the storm, tire out Brock and and win on championship rounds. Otherwise Brock wins IMO.

RE: Jon Jones vs Brock Lesnar NYE
if JBJ has even half decent jiujitsu off his back he should be able to sub lesnar utilizing his long limbs

also Brock hates getting hit and I believe JBJ is a true HW that engages in a pretty hefty weightcut

I don't think so. Even Mir was only able to sub Lesnar the first time around.

Lesnar smushes when he's on-top. Chances of Jones catching him in a Triangle and controlling him from there are pretty low.

Jones IS a good distance fighter though, better than most heavyweights. And Lesnar WILL gass out eventually. If Lesnar gets winded Jones could easily go for the kill with risky-high damage stuff he wouldn't try against a faster more competent fighter.

So I'd say Jones has fair odds.

Jones doesn't survive the first round blitz IMO..

Brock takes him down and puts a quick beating on him.. Donkey Kong.. Hulk Smash... Within 2 minutes.. Quick relentless ground and pound till the ref jumps in

RE: Jon Jones vs Brock Lesnar NYE
Ive rewatched Brick's fights this week after this fight started being rumored. He really was impressive when he first started. His movement in that weight class was impressive and his striking didnt even look too terrible. He didnt start freaking out when he got tagged until the Carwin fight and he still managed to win. His last few fights in his first run I think he was far from 100 percent after the bout with diverticulitis. They also seem to allow him to blatantly bend the rules with drug use like no one else.Jones should win but it could be very interesting. It will definitely sell tickets if nothing else

Quote:If and when they do fight, Jones is likely to be the odds-on betting favorite despite his 40-pound weight deficit, considering he opened at -350 to Lesnar’s +265, according to our fiscal friends at Bovada.lv.

Quote:MMAjunkie's John Morgan spoke to Jeff Novitzky, UFC's vice president of athlete health and performance, who confirmed Lesnar remains out of the testing pool.

"[Lesnar] is not currently enrolled in the USADA testing pool, nor has there been any inquiry on his part to do so," Novitzky said.

Very good odds for Brock if they fight on NYE, he's gonna come roided to the gills like he was against Hunt. I might put some money on Brock if the fight is a 3 rounder .

lol

As far as weight cuts go I think Brock undertakes a pretty big one to get to that ridiculous 265 heavyweight limit.

I personally would like to see this fight. It reminds me of the inter animal species fight threads EY used to do on the OG.
