Cormier is really bad at the shit talking. Comes off like he doesn't wants to fight Jones and hopes he'll get suspended again.

Rooting for Cormier though.

The Martian Manhunter will have to adjust to the new no eye gouge rule now.

Takes away a key weapon from Jones.

Word Mega. That's one of the main reasons I have trouble calling Jones the GOAT. He has fouled to many people along the way. He's a cheater and has been caught juicing now also. Cormier has always fought clean and the only thing you will find in his system is Popeyes.

This is a brief summary from an article last August;

Extended fingers

Eye pokes have been a topic of controversy lately. They are fight-ending, career-damaging illegal maneuvers. Under the original rules, referees could do nothing about it until it was too late and the poke was already landed. The new rules empower referees by making it a foul to extend your fingers outward toward an opponent's face, which could lead to an eye poke.

Previously, a referee could tell a fighter to close his or her hand, but the ref had no recourse — a point could not be taken. Now, it can be if a fighter continues to extend fingers in the direction of an opponent's face.

That's the new rule. I should say though that judging by last Fight Night in New Zealand they don't seem to be enforcing it, at least for now they seem to be issuing warnings only though I haven't seen anyone make eyeball contact yet.

Get new rule indeed. I feel like JJs reign is near the end, besides the drug / partying problem he's also 30 years old and looks loke he peaked around the Gustafsson fight years ago. He's gonna lose soon.

It will be enforced when JJ fights imo. I have a feeling that the ufc wants to get rid of him, he's more trouble than he's worth.

I agree. First I heard of the rules changes (there were two changes -- the other one involved changes to round scoring criteria) I thought of Jon Jones right away. Without Zuffa protection his feared wing chun attacks seemed destined for close scrutiny. All that said I still have trouble imagining Cormier winning a match with Jones.

Martian Manhunter by UD 5.

I don't think DC can beat him either. Nobody is really excited about him but if Jones wins it will garner up enthusiasm in a failing sport.

Lol flashback...

"I’m glad the UFC wanted to work with me as well, and I think that they trust that I’ll never make them look bad. You never have to worry about me with a DWI or doing something crazy"

I guess it didn't matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.
