After a mountain of speculation on floyd vs manny and a lackluster fight 6 years too late they expect people to be excited with Conor / Floyd rumors? Announce the fight when you have a contract, purse venue, date, shut up in the mean time.

Floyd hasn't signed on yet...I wonder if they can still keep the September date, or will be given to another superfight???!!! Canelo vs GGG slated for September 16th, and if my budget was one superfight per month, I'd go for the latter, rather the former...I don't think Canelo can outpunch GGG, so he'll have to resort to smart boxing, with occasional flurries, for a full 12 rounds...???!!!

i actually think floyd is somewhat scared of Conor

if Conor can last the full 12 rounds of even 8 rounds it will be seen as an embarrassment

The key is to find what works from MMA and bring what is legal to the boxing match.

Conor needs to develop a clinch and fighting from the clinch like nothing seen before in boxing.

Other than the payday, it is a lose-lose for mayweather.

If he wins, he was supposed to anyway. If he performs poorly or even loses, many lawls will be had.

I guess it didn't matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.

August 26th, maybe. But Mayweather hasn't signed on the bottom line and he's probably playing a mind game on Conor by offering him substantially less than the $100 million asked for???!!!

Quote:Mayweather has said he would offer McGregor $15 million to fight, far below McGregor's reported asking price of $100 million.

UFC president Dana White has offered both fighters $25 million each to take the fight.

oh boy. is he politely backing out this way?

August 26, Floyd's people have full control of the show and the undercard.

I'd be surprised if many die-hard boxing fans who aren't also MMA fans will care much about this fight. They will look at Conor's boxing record and yawn. The people who will buy this are UFC fans and Boxing/MMA fans. If Floyd's people were smart they would pack the undercard with MMA fighters vs Pro-Boxers. They probably won't though, in case one of them upstages Floyd. We will probably see an undercard full of Floyd's people's boxers, fighting each other.

^^Probably accurate.

I predicted the buys would be about 3.25 million. The freak show side of it should sell plenty in the sports world.

I expect Floyd to knock Conor out between rounds 7-9.

I don't see Connor lasting that long at all. He's never been hit by the greatest boxer alive (for his weight).

This is like a well rounded decathlon athlete trying to race the world's fastest sprinter in a sprint.
