UFC terminates Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell
This is what happens when you go full Corporate. I didnt like the Fertittas UFC either but at least they took care of some of their guys.

"

Longtime UFC veterans and former champions Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes have reportedly been let go by the company. The two were part of a number of employees released by the UFC earlier this week as the new owners continue to make changes.

Both Hughes and Liddell are good friends with Dana White and joined the company on the business side when their fight careers concluded.

The UFC has been great to me,” Hughes said. “Times change, and I understand the decision that was made. I will move on. My family and I are fine. I do love adventure, and who knows what’s next for me.”

everything is so corporate and lame in the US it's sad

all the stadiums no longer have regular names...

all corporate names like staples center, att park etc.

UFC was already super corporate now they are taking it up one level..

Apparently The UFC sale is 'bad debt' - whatever that means, so they need to save money where they can:

These guys were legacy hires. Why would you expect the new regime to keep them?
This always happens when there is a change in upper management in corporations.

Hopefully Matt at least gets a new tractor or something as a buzz off present. And maybe Liddell gets some cocaine.

I wish Calo was here to give us his thoughts on this.

I do too boss. I would take another night in the box to hear Calo's views on this whole situation.

They had a good gravy train run I guess. They should both be fine, unless Chuck is already dead.

When's the last time anyone's heard from Chuck Liddel? I saw him live here years ago when Cung Lee Ko'd Rich Franklin.

Haven't heard from him since.
