It stars Anthony Wong, who usually plays the villain in triad movies. But he is a much better actor than Yen. Though the fights are not as good as Yen's, obviously, this one has a better story, and paints a better and more accurate picture of 50s and 60s Hong Kong. I wanted to see this too, but it had appalling reviews here so wifey decided to wait for the rental. Go watch Final Fight. |

east asia is too rich now. Can't make good art with too much money.
Hong Kong had an awesome film culture from the 80's to the late 90's. it's basically shit now. Asian film has really dropped off the map. Those who know, know! ![]() |

I can't stand Cantopop. But there are some good indie bands here. I've been to concerts where the opening act is a local band, and they ROCKED. But most likely will never get any recognition unless they sellout and go full on Cpop.

I think. Hmmm. PSY? haha. He's popular all over Asia. Among Chinese singers, yeah probably still Jay Chou. But they are losing out to Kpop BADLY. Jay Chou is more original than any Kpop. It's not my style, but I appreciate his originality. Those who know, know! ![]() |
