THE BULLET VANISHES starring
Sean Lau Ching-wan and Nicholas Tse

Excellent movie! Loved it. Modeled after Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes

Mystery solved by 2 cops, Lau and Tse. Movie is different than Holmes in that Holmes movies can never do what TBV did

I'm sure my wife has this somewhere. I will dig it up and watch it.

Watched Dragon Blade supposedly based on real events. Roman army on Silk Road in China

Sad to watch Jackie Chan, 61, try to transition from action actor to dramatic actor

Adrien Brody and John Cusack were good enough for me. High production values. Literally 100's of extras. Nice costumes and scenery (inside town and mostly desert) - but great production values

About 75% done with The Midnight After ... a HK SF movie

Nominated for 8 HK Film Awards including the big ones, won for Best Original Film Score only

Heard that they ran out of money so the movie's plot is unresolved. 16 passengers plus minivan driver seemed to be the only people left alive in Tai Po, Hong Kong

Movie did well and sequel is in the works

Simon Yam, Kara Hui, and Lam Suet head up the cast. Directed by Fruit Chan

I like Yam, but over the years, after watching a lot of Johnnie To and his Prod Co's films, Sean Lau Ching-wan is my favorite now that Chow Yun-fat has slowed considerably

Sean Lau was nominated 2x for Best Actor in 2014!! Insanity and Overheard 3, which he won for

i've been scammed by the tea thing.. not too hard though

was taking a friend around and some girl walked up to us and asked us if we wanted to drink traditional chinese tea.. were like cool.. ended up paying 30 USD for 2 cups of tea.

i have friends that have paid the 1000 USD bill for a few beers LMFAO.

there are many variations on this scam.

some take you to KTV rooms, massage, bars etc.

there's always some kind of strange fees.. I've even heard about AC fees
