From the Blackstar album, a song entitled "Dollar Days. Interesting lyrics.

Quote:"Dollar Days"

Cash girls suffer me, I’ve got no enemies
I’m walking down
It’s nothing to me
It’s nothing to see
If I never see the English evergreens I’m running to
It’s nothing to me
It’s nothing to see

I’m dying to
Push their backs against the grain
And fool them all again and again
I’m trying to
We bitches tear our magazines
Those Oligarchs with foaming mouths come
Now and then
Don’t believe for just one second I’m forgetting you
I’m trying to
I’m dying to

Dollar days
Survival sex honour stretching tails to necks
I’m falling down
It’s nothing to me
It’s nothing to see
If I never see the English evergreens I’m running to
It’s nothing to me
It’s nothing to see

I’m dying to
Push their backs against the grain
And fool them all again and again
I’m trying to
It’s all gone wrong but on and on
The bitter nerve ends never end
I’m falling down
Don’t believe for just one second I’m forgetting you
I’m trying to
I’m dying to

I’m trying to
I’m dying to
I’m trying to
I’m dying to
I’m trying to
I’m dying to
I’m trying to
I’m dying to

I'm just trying to figure this shit out like you are.

Lot's of people are trying to interpret his the lyrics from this album now.

The whole album is not a ‘critique’ of Christianity at all. If anything ut is a lament for the God of money and fame that he put in the place of Christ in his life. Blackstar and Lazarus I think are Bowie’s confession that he sold his soul to the devil to achieve fame and fortune and that he is admitting it was all evil and run by ‘oligarchs’ who no longer have power over him as he ‘has nothing left to lose’. The film clips are filled with perverted religious imagery because of the evil and falsehood that he put in the place of God in his life. I am not religious person but even I can see that this album is a lament for Christianity not a criticism of it.

About the blind man in the video:

When Bowie is dressed up as the blind man he can clearly be seen making the thelemic ritual sign called Horus the Enterer (see Thelemapedia: The Encyclopedia of Thelema & Magick | Ritual Signs).

On nights where there is no moon we find Horus worshipped as Mekhenti-en-irty, ‘he who on his brow has no eyes’. In this form he is considered the god of the blind. (Egyptian God-Horus)

I'm just trying to figure this shit out like you are.

Quote:Lazarus of Bethany, also known as Saint Lazarus or Lazarus of the Four Days, is the subject of a prominent miracle attributed to Jesus in the Gospel of John, in which Jesus restores him to life four days after his death. The Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic traditions offer varying accounts of the later events of his life.
In the context of the seven signs in the Gospel of John, the Raising of Lazarus is the climactic narrative: exemplifying the power of Jesus "over the last and most irresistible enemy of humanity—death. For this reason it is given a prominent place in the gospel."[6]
A figure named "Lazarus" (Latinised from the Aramaic: אלעזר, Elʿāzār, cf. Heb. Eleazar—"God is my help"[7]) is also mentioned in the Gospel of Luke. The two Biblical characters named "Lazarus" have sometimes been conflated historically, but are generally understood to be two separate people.

The Sign of the Enterer is performed by taking a step forward with the left foot, and then leaning the body forward while thrusting out with both hands, fingers outstretched, as if reaching for something.

i dont want to go out on a limb again after my artv prediction but could this be a publicity stunt? Its seems like the way for 70 year olds to remain relevant these days is doing bold shit such cross dressing, proposing a muslim ban. and maybe fake dying.
