Startling images of Greeks struggling to seize bags of tomatoes and leeks thrown from a truck dominated Greek television, triggering a bout of soul-searching over the new depths of poverty in the debt-laden country. One man was treated for injuries after being trampled when he fell to the ground in the commotion. A Reuters photographer at the scene was hit on the head with cauliflower heads. The farmers said they gave away 50 metric tonnes (55.11 tons) of produce in under two hours RE: News & Current Events - EVILYOSHIDA - 02-07-2013 04:51 AM http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/hamilton-county/Man-arrested-after-posting-FB-photo-with-baby-gun/-/13550662/18305226/-/10crb1l/-/index.html Man arrested after posting FB photo with baby, gun Gun was BB gun, police say COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio —A man is being held on $2,000 bond after he was accused of posting a photo on Facebook that showed him with a baby and a gun. Dominic Gaines was arrested early Sunday after police said he posted the photo Saturday night. He was charged with one count of child endangering. Police said the gun turned out to be a BB gun "Due to close proximity of the BB gun to the child, there is a substantial risk of physical harm and safety of the child," court documents stated. In court Monday, Gaines said it was all a misunderstanding. His attorney said Gaines was holding the 1-year-old girl playing with the gun while visiting with some of his relatives. The attorney said Gaines' ex-wife saw the photo and called police. Gaines' father told News 5's Andrew Setters that the BB gun was pointed toward the ground, not the baby. At his arraignment, Gaines’ attorney said the baby was never in any danger. "What had happened was he had his nephews over, as well as his daughter, they were all playing. He was playing with a BB gun with his nephews. His brother walked in and wanted to take a picture of him with his daughter, he incidentally happened to be holding the BB gun in the picture," Andy Schoenling said. NO JAIL TIME! Was going to say the same thing. The precedent has now been officially established. These international banksters are above the law and apparently immune from jail time, regardless of the crimes they commit. Drug laundering, insider trading/rate manipulation, etc. Too big to fail, too important to be locked up. Yet the lessons from Iceland are ignored, of course. |
