Yup , have to agree with you. It's going to shit.... not real money. Of course impossible for it not to be controlled. Gov't simply couldn't allow that for economic and political reasons. Can't feel sorry for conformist snowflakes who tried to translate their internet life to financial speculation and swallowed this scam.Undecided

^ GOOD POST

RE: The Great Crypto Crash - Chaos Reigns - 08-16-2018 05:10 AM

I first started paying close attention to BTC last June/July. Of course in hindsight it would have been a good time to buy and HODL till December, but I wasn't thinking about short term, but about BTC's total potential.

And I wasn't sold on it.

There was all the turmoil about the upcoming fork at that time, tremendous uncertainty, but the price barely budged, and to me that signalled that a whale had put a floor under the price, or that the price was being controlled in other words.

For all of 2017, the only pro-BTC argument cryptokiddies had to make was 'look at the price OMG'! Which isn't an argument.

These Millenials have never seen the price of anything go down IN THEIR LIFETIMES. They are gonna get took, again, with their recent real estate purchases and their first tiptoes into the stock market.

this is one of the longest bull runs ever

and it may last a bit longer

over the long term everything will keep going up and people know this by now

Contagion, mang. Turmoil in China, Turkey, South Africa. FAANGs, only Amazon and Apple haven't turned over just yet.

Twitter, down a ton. And due to 'weighting', these are the stocks that were/are propping up the NASDAQ/Dow.

The bigger the bubble the bigger the bang when the balloon finally bursts! Yes, inflation will keep everything up in the long term but "real returns" will likely be negative and their is the factor of "opportunity costs' of having your money tied up during bear cycles. Too bad soyboy millenials are too shallow and delusional in their unicorn world to notice. What used to be mentally ill is not socially and poltically fashionable. Leemings over the cliff....

That just too much for their small brains to processHuh These are the same collectively schizophrenic and retarded who believe a woman has a penis and an old man man(Bruce Jenner) is the most attractive woman in America and some make believe cryptomoney will going to million dollars and they will all become as rich as Warren Buffet and Bill Gates by their early 20'sAngel

BTC is breaking away from the others it has over 50% dominance now. While it hovers in the low to mid 6k range, everything else has dropped much more in percentage.

This would probably be the time to buy if you did want to invest.

Ethereum down to $180.

BTC still hovering above the 6K mark after reaching mid 7k last week.

BTC is back where it was a month ago, which seems innocuous, except that a month ago it was considered to be 'crashing', so now it will be viewed as 'trading sideways'. I.E. a lot of cryptokiddies probably did buy when the price started going up, and are now underwater again, or at least back where it was when they 'bought the dip'.

Ethereum is getting obliterated. I guess a lot has to do with the ICOs that raised Ethereum, but need $. Which should tell you something. If Ether was worth something you could barter directly with vendors, employees, etc, but because people have to pay rent and buy groceries (in $) then they have to convert Ether -> $, and the price starts tanking they panic, and cause it to tank further!

My ETH holdings have lost 2/3 of their value in the past couple of months.

The question I have is, is this a great time to be buying up Ethereum so you can cash out when it increases in value, or is this slump going to continue?

BTC really seems like the most stable investment.
