kiatsongrit is one of my favorite fighters ever.

he was probably 160 soaking wet and he went up against all the great K1 HWs

p4p one of the best kickboxer ever imo

roufus broke kiat's jaw in the first. ridiculous.

once the low kicks started accumulating roufus had no more pep in his punches

muay thai is the ultimate stand up art.

it influenced karate too.

the karatekas were getting destroyed by MT guys until they started implementing follow through low kicks

This reminds me a real life version of the opening fight in the movie Kickboxer.

Roufus even had his little brother in his corner.

Amazing that a champion kickboxer of his level had never learnt to check kicks, or studied up on Muay Thai before the fight.

Funny how after the fight, little brother Duke says that low kicks require no talent, and then he goes and trains extensively in Muay Thai.

Roufus looked like he was destroying Kiat in the first round, like Kiat should not have even been in the same ring as him.

Shit soon evened up though.

Was horrific seeing kiat munching with a broken jaw. Thais are not used to a fast pace in the beginning. They turn it up as the fight progresses

Kudos to Lawrence Kenshin for putting together this excellent breakdown in video.

He has a series of similar videos of classic style vs style fights on his youtube channel.
