its as thought we are now not to trust anything, that everything must have a sceptical viewpoint especially if it originates from the freest country in the world, ever

DAILY MAIL has pounced on this lol. Floyd's rep is getting damaged beyond repair.
I knew this was going to happen with Money and Pac Man. Floyds' whole career (for except a few early bouts) is based off fighting "names" that are either shot or well past their primes. I didn't get into the hype and throw a party because the writing was on the wall for a controversial decision loss for Manny before it started.

On paper the resume for Floyd looks impressive until you look at the scenarios behind each bout. he reminds me of Joe Calzaghe who retired undefeated but had many "name wins" against fading starts like Roy Jones and B hop at the end of their careers, never left the Uk until the end and whose opposition was pretty sub par (not all his fault, similar to the klitschko brothers)

I can't say for a FACT that if this fight happens 6 or 7 years ago Manny wins but for a fighter with Manny's style it was a bigger disadvantage for Manny compared to Floyd.

This is why you can see another defensive minded fighter like B Hop holding a belt at 49 years old.

It's such as shame that Floyds gimmick will be this "undefeated record" that he WILL NOT SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT UNTIL HE DIES! Believe me I was rooting for Manny for MANY reasons and was pretty much gutted myself.

Manny seems like a genuine good person while Floyd represents all that is bad with a culture right now. NOT SKIN COLOR.....CULTURE before people get what I'm saying twisted.

The cold hard truth is Floyd......while being remembered as an all time great will still fall short compared both to legends like Sugar Ray Robinson, Marvin Hagler, s. ray leonard, Willie Pep , roberto duran. ect. who all have losses on their record.

The worst part that as an all around bad person he truly has NO ONE who admires, cares(only about his money) about him truly loves aside form his children. He will always be a lonely figure trying to buy respect and love. I predict either a huge tragedy or he finds Christ and admits he was a terrible person and asks for forgiveness in the next 5 years after retirement. The writing is basically on the wall.
^Good post. Not sure I like the new icon.
I couldn't believe the media highlights. Even Sherdog's big article headlined something like 'TOTAL SHUTOUT".

I think this gives us microcosm image of how the MSM works. Many people will say 'Well WHAT? You think everyone on the news is being forced to lie?'

You can clearly see here it doesn't work like that. People always cave in to the social pressures of their job, and business will always cave in to money and politics. This is how the control grid is created.

Did you have to pay-off or threaten every announcer and give them a script to say what you wanted? No, but they 100% sided with the house in every exchange. They are projecting a distorted reality, but they too most likely live in a distorted reality and know critical thought isn't in their best interest -Just like the MSM. No Doubt, No Guilt.

That is Sachin Tendulkar, Indian cricketer, humanitarian, politician and voted India's sexiest man 8 times in a row in the late 90s and the middle of the noughties.

I feel he is easily the greatest Batsman who ever lived. My mate Vutu thinks Ricky Ponting is the greatest but he doesn't know jack squat about anything aside from huffing petrol and doing dead lifts.

I have even been getting PMs form members asking me why I didn't put Jack Hobbs in my avatar or Ponting or even Sir Don Bradman. This issue is really rustling peoples feathers. lol I would have never changed it if I knew I would get this reaction.

With all that said their is no denying Sachin is the Greatest and most popular sportsman to EVER LIFE. I feel as though he just needed some recognition here and I figured Redneck would appreciate it. He is a HUGE cricket fan being an Aussie(they just won the championship) He is more of a Michael Clarke guy though but thats RED for you.

I agree though the Anti D signature avatar needs and will come back very soon. I feel something is missing without him.

I now how Tom Selleck would feel if he lost his mustache. I feel like I left the House and forgot to wear pants. My charm, humour, charisma and Budo are lacking.

The Boddika Avatar will return shortly Kungfool! DO not fear! Greatness will return maybe in a few hours!

*Sorry to derail this thread with Sachin Talk! Lets get back to Floyd vs Pac Man*
During the fight I thought Manny was winning on aggression and combinations, but these clips clearly show that Manny was out-countering Floyd, and using a solid shell.

He was out-pointing Floyd, but Floyd 'sold-it' with his smug attitude.
AHh.. Who am I kidding the announcers and the ultra advanced puncho-gigamatron machine did all the work.

Lately some people have really enjoyed knocking the 'Freethinker' part of the 'Freethinker's Forum'.

But this at least shows that most of the people here can resist the power of suggestion. I know I turned the sound off at about R3 because it was slowly filling me with rage and distracting me from the fight.

I keep wondering what the Spanish commentary was like.
who cares really, this fight happened too late

mods please delete thread

Allow me to remain distrustful of you new found cooperative attitude.
This fight is a good study in the power of expectations. Just listen to the commentators and "seasoned" boxing fans.

People expect Floyd as a defensive minded fighter to run and land a few counters. People expect Manny to overwhelm and wreck his opponents with speed and power.

Well Floyd delivered what was expected of him, and Manny didn't. So Floyd wins, eh?

If the expectations were reversed how would exactly the same fight look.

Hypothetical scenario in an alternate world: Floyd is an aggressive hard hitting powerhouse that walks down his opponents and destroys them badly. Manny is a slick defensive oriented fighter who barely gets hit against even against the most aggressive opponents. Fight of the century happens and it plays out exactly like it did here. But what does it look like with the expectations reversed? It looks like Manny shut down this most unstoppable of opponents. Floyd could barely land anything. Hell Manny even chased after him in many instances. Floyd had no answer to Manny's defensive counter punching prowess.

Max Kellerman being bewildered that Manny thought he won was the rotten cherry on top. I mean you expect fighters to think they've won especially in close fights, but these guys thought the result was so one sided that even Manny should admit he lost.
the left hook that Manny lands at 3:23 alone > everything Floyd did for 12 rounds combined.

^ Heh. At half speed the commentators sound exactly like they do at normal speed. Retarded.
I thought Mayweather was going for a guillotine a couple of times.
