“From the standpoint of an economist, the most efficient way to tackle climate change is to tax emissions -- to create a disincentive to emit carbon dioxide,”

tell them not to upgrade their phones and cars all the time

stop the remodeling of your house

stop the rampant consumer culture

End planned obsolescence? Nah, lets just put a tax on breathing, and how many kids you can have, and how far you can commute to work, and how much you can heat your house...

A central planner's dream.

When I was a kid they told us there are THREE R's. Reduce, re-use and recycle. But these days they just tell us RECYCLE RECYCLE RECYCLE. Maybe because the other two don't make big corporations any money?
yep. it blows my mind how in 2018... they are encouraging people to buy useless shit that DEGRADES and DESTROYS the environment

we need to switch to a new paradigm

the conservative way is to REUSE, to HAND DOWN

irritating hipster trying to convince people to still trust the MSM

that's exactly why they can trick people.. high production value, as well as an assumption that big media outlets face repercussions for not telling the truth. the reality is there are no repercussions for the MSM lying. zero.

We declare pragmatism to be bad, not indeed in its moral consequences (which, as a matter of fact, ought not to count in philosophy), but because it introduces into our fashion of thinking a degrading sophistry. Pragmatism, in its modern systematized form, would scarcely have been possible in earlier times. It has, however, become so since erudite scholars and original thinkers have deemed it fit to cater to a public incapable of taking a genuine interest in their researches and their speculations, a public which in the last resort wishes simply to amuse itself with these as it amuses itself with everything else, — the public of our modern democracies. We feel flattered by the plaudits of the crowd, and to procure these we are satisfied to get down to the level of those whom as thinkers we should disdain. Popular science, popular art, popular theology — only one thing was lacking — popular philosophy.

- Albert Schinz, Anti-Pragmatism; an Examination into the Respective Rights of Intellectual Aristocracy and Social Democracy (1909), p. xv.

The Economist. LOL. Truth telling. Valuable.

This guy should renew his subscription to 'Foreign Policy' (the Council on Foreign Relations' magazine for plebs to read and insiders to read between the lines).
^ Foreign Affairs is the best publication to read if you want to understand the NWO. I read it EVERY MONTH without fail
