Establishment Media Attacks Rand Paul for Saying Globalists Plotting Against Constitution

The Washington Post has attempted to write-off Kentucky Senator Rand Paul as a fringe kook for opposing the United Nations’ Small Arms Treaty.
Ezra Klein, who spends a lot of time over at MSNBC with Rachel Maddow and has also appeared with Bill Maher — who has called the Second Amendment “bullshit” — bases his claim on research conducted by Snopes.com, the website specializing in debunking myths.
Klein says the treaty does not pose a threat to gun owners in the United States. He dismisses the email below as “black helicopter stuff from Paul.”
For the real deal on the treaty, see Larry Bell.
The Washington Post is the crown jewel of Operation Mockingbird. MSNBC is a faltering propaganda network owned by the war pigs (it is a partnership between Microsoft and General Electric, the latter specializing in manufacturing war materiel). MSNBC and CNN habitually attack the Constitution (see the globalist Fareed Zakaria on “updating” the Constitution). They also act as a conduit for propaganda disseminated by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a “civil rights organization” specializing in hysterical propaganda about constitutionalists the SPLC insists are about to blow up federal buildings.
It is interesting the Post and MSNBC bother with stuff they consider “black helicopter.” Klein’s facile attack is simply more evidence that the establishment is desperate to shut down the alternative media, now the preferred source of news for millions of Americans.
Here is Paul’s email:
Dear fellow Patriot,
Gun-grabbers around the globe believe they have it made.
You see, only hours after re-election, Barack Obama immediately made a move for gun control…
On November 7th, his administration gleefully voted at the UN for a renewed effort to pass the “Small Arms Treaty.”
But after the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut — and anti-gun hysteria in the national media reaching a fever pitch — there’s no doubt President Obama and his anti-gun pals believe the timing has never been better to ram through the U.N.’s global gun control crown jewel.
I don’t know about you, but watching anti-American globalists plot against our Constitution makes me sick.
This Spring, the United Nations went back into session to finalize their radical so-called “Small Arms Treaty.”
With the treaty finalized, a full U.S. Senate ratification showdown could come any time President Obama chooses and there will be very little time to fight back.
If we’re to succeed, we must fight back now.
That’s why I’m helping lead the fight to defeat the UN “Small Arms Treaty” in the United States Senate.
And it’s why I need your help today.
Will you join me by taking a public stand against the UN “Small Arms Treaty” and sign the Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey right away?
Ultimately, UN bureaucrats will stop at nothing to register, ban and CONFISCATE firearms owned by private citizens like YOU.
So far, the gun-grabbers have successfully kept many of their schemes under wraps.
But looking at previous attempts by the UN to pass global gun control, you and I can get a good idea of what’s likely in the works.
You can bet the UN is working to FORCE the U.S. to implement every single one of these anti-gun policies:*** Enact tougher licensing requirements, making law-abiding Americans cut through even more bureaucratic red tape just to own a firearm legally;
*** CONFISCATE and DESTROY ALL “unauthorized” civilian firearms (all firearms owned by the government are excluded, of course);
*** BAN the trade, sale and private ownership of ALL semi-automatic weapons;
*** Create an INTERNATIONAL gun registry, setting the stage for full-scale gun CONFISCATION.
I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this is NOT a fight we can afford to lose.
Ever since its founding 65 years ago, the United Nations has been hell-bent on bringing the United States to its knees.
To the petty dictators and one-world socialists who control the UN, the United States of America isn’t a “shining city on a hill” — it’s an affront to their grand designs for the globe.
These anti-gun globalists know that as long as Americans remain free to make our own decisions without being bossed around by big government bureaucrats, they’ll NEVER be able to seize the worldwide power they crave.
And the UN’s apologists also know the most effective way to finally strip you and me of ALL our freedoms would be to DESTROY our gun rights.
That’s why I was so excited to see the National Association for Gun Rights leading the fight to stop the UN “Small Arms Treaty!”
Will you join them by going on record AGAINST global gun control and sign the Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey today?
The truth is there’s no time to waste.
You and I have to be prepared for this fight to move FAST.
The fact is the last thing the gun-grabbers at the UN and in Washington, D.C. want is for you and me to have time to mobilize gun owners to defeat this radical agenda.
They’ve made that mistake before, and we’ve made them pay, defeating EVERY attempt to ram the UN Small Arms Treaty into law since the mid-1990s.
But now time may not be on our side.
And worse… the UN Small Arms Treaty is no longer the only UN scheme threatening our gun rights.
NSA Internet Spying Guide Made Public

In the movies, government spies are often seen in high-tech lairs, creeping into the dark corners of the Web with ease and cracking codes with a few clicks. But if a recently released NSA "Guide to Internet Research" is any indication, the life of an online spy is not exactly a high-octane, Web-powered thrill ride.
The document, which was made public via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, dates back to 2007, so much of the information is a tad antiquated. The report author even comments that it was "out of date before it reached your desk." The topic of social networking is mentioned, but not discussed in any great detail, for example, which is not entirely shocking since Twitter was still in its infancy in 2007.

Biometric Database of All Adult Americans Hidden in Immigration Reform

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.

Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf) is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.

Employers would be obliged to look up every new hire in the database to verify that they match their photo.

This piece of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act is aimed at curbing employment of undocumented immigrants. But privacy advocates fear the inevitable mission creep, ending with the proof of self being required at polling places, to rent a house, buy a gun, open a bank account, acquire credit, board a plane or even attend a sporting event or log on the internet. Think of it as a government version of Foursquare, with Big Brother cataloging every check-in.

Turkey Says Evidence Links Syria to Car Bombings

REYHANLI, Turkey — The Turkish authorities said Sunday that nine people had been detained in twin car bombings a day earlier in southern Turkey that killed 46 people, as funerals were held for at least 20 of the victims in this town near the Syrian border.

Speaking at a news conference, senior government officials said that the investigation had linked the detainees, who were all Turkish citizens, to the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and asserted that the attack was aimed at disrupting Turkey’s unity. The officials did not detail any ties between the suspects and Mr. Assad’s government, but they said the evidence included incriminating statements made by the attackers themselves.

“The incident was carried out by those who have been closely linked with pro-regime groups in Syria,” said Turkey’s interior minister, Muammer Guler. “There is no merit in spelling out the names. We know them all.”

Chinese alternative to Fitch and Moody’s to challenge credit rating system

China is set to offer its alternative to the big three US credit rating agencies, Moody's, Fitch, and Standard and Poor's. The Universal Credit Rating group is due to launch next month in Hong Kong, and is a joint Chinese, Russian, and American venture.

The US ratings agency Egan-Jones Ratings Co and Russian RusRating will become partners with Dagong Global Credit Rating in the undertaking. The new agency will start with around 20 analysts aiming to gradually grow to more than 100.

UCRG will be the second such venture based in Hong Kong after China Chengxin, which established an office in Hong Kong in August last year.

The project is aimed at boosting China’s influence on the global ratings system, and challenging the prevalence of the big American firms. The impartiality of their work has been questioned since the global financial crisis in 2008.

IG report: ‘Inappropriate criteria’ stalled IRS approvals of conservative groups

Federal authorities have opened a criminal investigation of whether Internal Revenue Service employees broke the law when they targeted conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, the latest setback for an agency that is the subject of withering bipartisan criticism and multiple congressional inquiries.

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said Tuesday that the Justice Department and the FBI began the probe after the IRS acknowledged that it selected conservative groups with the words “tea party” and “patriot” in their names for special reviews.

“We are examining the facts to see if there were criminal violations,” Holder said at a news conference.

Also Tuesday, a widely anticipated report by the IRS’s watchdog described the agency’s tax-exempt unit — where the screening of conservative groups occurred — as a bureaucratic mess, with some employees ignorant about tax laws, defiant of their supervisors and blind to the appearance of impropriety.

Google-Berg: Global Elite Transforms Itself For Technocratic Revolution

The secretive Bilderberg Group is currently undergoing a major transformation that will see it and other high profile networks merge under the banner of Google as the elite accelerates its plan to consolidate its technocratic agenda.

This past weekend, Infowars reporters Paul Joseph Watson and Jon Scobie visited the luxury Grove Hotel in Watford, UK, site of the 2013 Bilderberg Group conference set to take place June 6-9, a clandestine annual gathering of over 100 of the world’s most influential power brokers in the fields of politics, academia, technology, business and banking.

The investigation was prompted by our sources, who advised us to visit the Grove in advance of Bilderberg 2013. This is part one of what promises to be a developing story as the pieces of the jigsaw fall into place backed up by years of Bilderberg tracking and research.

What we discovered was groundbreaking and represents one of if not the most important development in Bilderberg’s 59 year history.

Put simply, Bilderberg is merging with Google under the stewardship of Google CEO Eric Schmidt, a regular Bilderberg attendee. Google’s annual Zeitgeist conference, which has been based at the Grove since 2007, immediately precedes the Bilderberg Group conference by a matter of days.

Putin, Netanyahu discuss Syrian settlement, regional stability

MOSCOW, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Russia and Israel agreed Tuesday that the continuation of violence in Syria would lead to dire consequences for that country and the entire region.

"It is only the soonest possible termination of armed conflicts and hostilities and transition to a political settlement that can prevent a negative scenario," President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

It was "especially important today to avoid any action that can undermine the situation," Putin added.

Netanyahu agreed that the Middle East has been an unstable and explosion-prone region.

"This is why I am glad to discuss the ways of stabilization in the region to bring about more security and calm there," he said.

The leaders also discussed bilateral economic cooperation between Russia and Israel, according to the Kremlin's press service.

Philippines lets Taiwan ultimatum lapse

MANILA, Philippines—As Taipei’s ultimatum for the Philippines to apologize over the shooting death of a Taiwanese fisherman lapsed on Tuesday, Malacañang opted for prudence for fear of exacerbating the situation, and said the government’s response would be coursed through “proper channels.”

“Our position is that we would rather defer any comment. But if there is a response, yes, there will be a response and it will be handed through the proper channels and not through media,” Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda told a press briefing.

Lacierda said late Tuesday night that the Philippines’ de facto ambassador to Taipei, Antonio Basilio, would deliver the Philippines’ response to his Taiwanese counterpart.

Escalating tension

Tensions escalated between Taipei and Manila the past week over the May 9 incident in which a 65-year-old Taiwanese fisherman was shot dead after the Philippine Coast Guard fired at a Taiwanese fishing boat that it said had strayed into Philppine waters.

Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou gave the Philippines until Tuesday to respond to its demand that the government apologize for the death of the fisherman, prosecute the suspects and compensate the dead man’s family, or face the consequences.

Japan WWII 'comfort women' were 'necessary' - Hashimoto

A prominent Japanese politician has described as "necessary" the system by which women were forced to become prostitutes for World War II troops.

Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto said on Monday that the "comfort women" gave Japanese soldiers a chance "to rest".

On Tuesday, Japanese ministers tried to distance themselves from his remarks.

Some 200,000 women in territories occupied by Japan during WWII are estimated to have been forced to become sex slaves for troops.

Every single year, a Japanese politician says something retarded like this, and then Koreans and Chinese get pissed off, which which sends east Asian relations into the toilet. Pathetic.

I mean really. He's not even trying to deny this occurred (which, imo, is a complicated chapter in history), he's saying it was ok, because of the therapeutic benefits of raping young girls. Ummmmmm

And this is the mayor of a major Japanese city, not some wacko posting on 2ch. Shintaro Ishihara got elected mayor of Tokyo like a dozen times despite saying the most offensive shit you can ever imagine.

Yeah I am pretty disturbed by how common these opinions are in Japan.

That is pretty fucked up not to simply recognize fault so many years later.
Ok reading his comments in context, they don't really sound as horrible.

Still insensitive, but not as bad as they were portrayed by the media.

A lot of those comfort women went willingly IIRC.
