Fell asleep last night in the computer chair while reading some important conspiracy-related information.

Pretty cool except I couldn't breath.

I remember intentionally not being able to move my body but then somehow managing levitate my body 3 to 4 four feet off of the chair into the air and then back down into the computer chair again.

Then it was over and I went to bed.

If this really happened, my two cats would have surely seen but it but are remaining silent at the moment.

Wink
one time when I meditated I felt like I was levitating. it was a trip.

I think you got a type of sleep paralysis. Before when I got sleep paralysis I could levitate out of my body and watch myself sleeping.

But nowadays I know what it is so I can snap out of it easily. in fact ever since being very clear about the issues, my sleep paralysis has been cured.

I rarely get it now.. maybe once or twice a year. Before I used to get it weekly.
Yeah, I'm guessing it was from falling asleep in the cramped computer chair. My nice one broke so I bought a temporary cheapie.

Oddly, as opposed to the typical night terror, I was levitating quite within my body rather than from the outside looking down. It was done almost like a force of will...as if it were the only way to save myself.

So, except for the inability to breath, it was kind of an atypical night terror.

Kind of cool though.
when i was meditating.. i levitated within my own body.

but with sleep paralysis I can leave my body
I am very serious about what I am about this post here. i am not joking, this has happened. There have several instances where I have been lying in bed in the that state between light and deep sleep and I have felt the bed shake in a kind of sideways motion (not up and down). I have read somewhere that this is a rare but normal, natural occurrence, something about the stomach muscles if they are spasmodic enough that they can cause the bed to shake. The article went on to remark that people would not think that those type of muscles would cause that type of motion, especially if the person lying there thinks his or her the rest of body is not moving, but that it does happen and that is definitely is not a paranormal event.

Anyone else have this experience?
Never heard of that one dass. Interesting theory though.

No not a theory. I believe it has happened. i've been alone and when this happened when I've been in a light sleep or woken up. So i can't tell 100% if it really happened or the product of imagination. Hasn't happened recently, though and hasn't occurred enough for me to, say, put up a video camera to film when I am asleep.
Did this involve any missing time and/or any rectal bleeding?
Gutsy???!!!

Nope, I read somewhere a medical book of which I i don't remember the title, saying that is was caused by contractions of the stomach, to be exact the intestines moving in such a way to produce such a tremor that transfers to the bed itself. the net effect is you think you're lying there still, and the bed is shaking. Not enough to shake you out of the bed, but obviously making you realizing something strange is going on.

I sincerely believe that this will be found and I will be vindicated. Where's Dr. Carver when you need him???!!!
