Better than making another shitty porn. I'd say that's progress.
^ yeah.

I definitely think Yoga attracts the modern feminist-divisive woman.

when the celebs do it and the establishment doesn't question it.. it's the best marketing ever for Yoga.

my question is.... in a time when nearly all religions are attacked.. Yoga, a very religious practice is being heavily promoted.

maybe i'm being unfair.

I just feel something really shady about this whole yoga new age stuff.

i don't feel it's authentic spirituality.

maybe people can enlighten me.
Yoga Party. for your reference only

Well, I can't help you much EY.

I see yoga the same way I see lifting weights or running on a treadmill.

It's exercise.
yeah just looking for discussion.

this is a topic a lot of people don't agree with me on.

yoga probably does provide a lot of benefit for people, i'm not denying that.

in China when you become a buddhist the term is "leaving the house"

Well, if you think about it, according to their own philosophy, they are a soul that has been given the opportunity to experience this physical world, so what do they do with this gift? They sit in a cave facing a wall for 30 years, to become more in touch with the non-material world.

Obviously there can be a happy medium, where it is used as a relaxation method, and a way of rebooting ones brain.

It often isn't authentic spiritually. People are making money and there are material considerations being made as opposed to spiritual ones. Kind of like passing the collection bucket.

But that doesn't make it bad. It's an ascetic practice at it's core.
I guess I'm going to have to take the minority opinion on some of these subjects.

Although I don't advocate sitting in a cave for 5, 10, or 30 years...I'm not against it either.
