"We always give the public their heroes. We give the heroes to every faction and then people, once they hear this person say all the right things, we give releases to them because he or she speaks for me. That's how we rationalize it and we sit back and re-guide it again, we say go here, go do that and they do it. We give our power to the authorized heroes".

can't find any reference to this in Morals and Dogma.

Saw this quote in this video but I can't source it:

This is what is frightening about AI these days.

It will literally crawl the internet of a given country, and tell politicians EXACTLY what people want to hear.

Not sure if it is even crafting the slogans: Hope and Change! Make America Great Again.

But it can't be far off from that level of sophisitication. Breaking election promises should be a ticket straight out of office, do not pass go or wait for your term to be completed, and off to jail. No "Well, I didn't know then what I know now" excuses, either.
yep. however, I went through morals and dogma and could not find this quote!
It doesn't really matter if Pike said it or not.

I mean, it does in terms of attribution, certainly.

But it changes nothing so far as controlled opposition are concerned. The problem people run into is that they oversimplify things. Either someone was controlled opposition all along or they aren't.

That isn't quite how it works.

You can have useful idiots, who don't even know they are controlled opposition. Tommy Robinson?

You can have people that were formerly genuine, cowed into submission with carrot and stick. Jordan Peterson, Noam Chomsky, Alan Greenspan? (this is up for debate, which category they fit into)

You can have agents, from cradle to grave. Zbginiew Brzezinski, Karl Marx, Sigmund Freud, and so on.
it's a very true quote however the independent thinkers get discredited when they engage in false attribution
I think that's some crap Alan Watt made up for his book.
