Fake boobs, fake hair, fake backdrop, but real person? LOL. I feel bad for people. This was the level of (non-pro) CGI in 2005:

^^I'm curious, how do you know that was 2005?

I was involved in computer graphics around that time (so I know what the consumer tech was capable of then, just had to find an example to post on the forum). Also, at the start of the video, the guy says it is his 2005 demo reel (although uploaded in 2009, according to Youtube).

So 2009 or 2005 or he could have been lying. Or Youtube could have created the videos as a red-herring and backdated them, since all the evidence in the cause is controlled by them, even the incriminating videos.

I'm sort of an IT professional in graphic design myself. What year did the Nintendo DS come out (2004??) because that's the first time I saw real-time augmented reality.
My point remains that even 15 years ago, computer-generated graphics was much beyond the level the general public was aware. It was just time consuming to both generate and render, with the level of GPUs available at that time (by the average 'enthusiast').

So the idea that Nasime Sabz quality CG is available in 2018, and can be generated by an AI should surprise no one. Especially when consumer-available DeepFakes demonstrate that fact.

Basically, what I am saying is that DeepFakes technology was weaponized long before the public knew about it.

It was even something theorized about, by Michael Crichton, way back in 1992!
